Product Description
Schuyler Van Alen wants an explanation for the mysterious deaths of young vampires. With her best friend, Oliver, Schuyler travels to Italy in the hope of finding the one man who can help--her grandfather. Meanwhile, back in New York, preparations are feverishly underway for the Four Hundred Ball, an exclusive gala hosted by the city's wealthy, powerful, and unhuman--a true Blue Blood affair.

But it's at the after-party, a masquerade ball thrown by the cunning Mimi Force, that the real danger lurks. Hidden behind the masks is a revelation that will forever change the course of a young vampire's destiny.

Rich with glamour, attitude, and vampire lore, this second installment in the Blue Bloods saga will leave readers thirsting for more.

5 out of 5 stars fabulous   January 8, 2009
I read this book in like one day..it was SO great!! I thought Blue Bloods was good, but this one was deffinately a page turner. I can't wait to get book #3. =)I am for sure hooked on this series..who would have thought that I would turn into a vampire romance junkie?

5 out of 5 stars Such a great read!   December 22, 2008
I loved this book! It was fast paced and had many surprising twists and turns that I never would have suspected. There were several things that happened that I figured out from a couple of instances of foreshadowing, but not enough to make this a dull novel. Masquerade has a wonderful plot and everything seems to fit together perfectly. This is one of those novels that really sticks with you and makes you want to rush out and get the next book in the series. If you liked Blue Bloods, you will like Masquerade just as much, if not more.

4 out of 5 stars 4.5 Stars for Masquerade   December 16, 2008
(daughter of user)
Masquerade was definitely a more solid novel than Blue Bloods, which is to be expected. It really went into more detail about some things, which was definitely good. It'd be nice to know more about Jack and Mimi's past lives. This book gave a little bit more of that, but not enough for me, anyway. While reading the book, I found myself torn between wanting Schuyler to be with Jack and wanting her to be with Oliver, while also wanting a combo of the two for myself(haha). I hope that in the next book, Oliver gets a bigger role, and that Schuyler stands up to Charles so she can talk to him again. It was ridiculous that the court let Charles adopt her. Looking forward to Revelations!

3 out of 5 stars Decent   December 16, 2008
Bought the series after I read the Twilight set. Not quite up to par with that series. But still a decent read. Took me a while to get into them.

5 out of 5 stars Sucked In!   December 15, 2008
Seriously. This series really sucks you in. You think you know people but they can really surprise you as well. I couldn't believe what happened at the end. Thank goodness the 3rd book was already out. I don't know what I'd do with myself.
