Product Description
Nobody Owens, known to his friends as Bod, is a normal boy. He would be completely normal if he didn't live in a sprawling graveyard, being raised and educated by ghosts, with a solitary guardian who belongs to neither the world of the living nor of the dead. There are dangers and adventures in the graveyard for a boy. But if Bod leaves the graveyard, then he will come under attack from the man Jack—who has already killed Bod's family . . . Beloved master storyteller Neil Gaiman returns with a luminous new novel for the audience that embraced his New York Times bestselling modern classic Coraline. Magical, terrifying, and filled with breathtaking adventures, The Graveyard Book is sure to enthrall readers of all ages.

Beautifully Read October 9, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Some authors shouldn't be the one to read for their audiobooks, but Neil Gaiman is not one of them. His reading brings the story into vibrant life, making the humor funnier, the tension thicker, and the tender moments more touching. I have never bought a book and considered buying the audio version as well--it has always been one or the other--until now. I can't recommend The Graveyard Book or its audio version highly enough. In fact, I think I'll start listening to it again right now.
Graveyard Book Junkie November 2, 2008 Our family waited for this book for several years after hearing an interview with the author by his daughter that was included on a collection of stories for children on CD. It was worth the wait. Neil Gaiman's reading is engaging and entertaining. The only reason I've given the review 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the packaging. The adhesive that secures the slots for holding the CDs left goo on the edge and outer surfaces of the disks, which interfered with the playability.
Perfect! November 9, 2008 What a wonderful story. I LOVED it! I listened to the audio version, read by Gaiman himself and it was Perfect in every way. I wany MORE of this story. This is a story I plan to listen to or read every year. Wonderful! Even better than Coraline or Stardust (if that's even possible!!). Read, listen and share this wonderful, wonderful MASTERFUL story. Thank you again Neil Gaiman for reminding me what a great storyteller you are and (hopefully) will continue to be for many years! Amazing!
