Wildly Passionate April 22, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Bones is a doctor working in the jungle. Trip is one of a group of guns for hire that arrive at Bones' hospital camp looking for treatment for a sick kid. Trip and Bones get to know each other while walking to the river for a bath. Once there, they are quickly wrapped around each other making love. Their affair is extremely passionate right away. Trip's line of work can have him gone for months or even years at a time though, but he always comes back to his lover.
When Bones' camp is being attacked and he thinks one of his own is responsible, Bones calls Trip to help him. Trip arrives with his fellow mercenaries and almost immediately all hell breaks loose proving that one of Bones men is selling him out. Once away from the devastated camp, Bones discovers that there is a bounty out on him.
Trip and Bones separate from the others heading into the jungle alone. The men find shelter deep in the mountains where they have to hide out for a long while. The time comes though when Bones and Trip have to leave their sanctuary and try to figure out what's happening. With help, they find out who wants Bones dead and why. Then they set about fixing things, mercenary style. When they get through it, Trip and Bones find a way to stay together and continue to do what they both do best.
In Tripwire Bones and Trip face danger all the time, and they thrive on it. Bones is a talented and compassionate doctor willing to help anyone in need. Trip is a mercenary who will help anyone willing to pay. Their immediate attraction to each other is intense and their torrid affair is just as consuming. Being apart makes their reunions wildly passionate. Sexy and loving, full of danger and mystery, Tripwire has got it all!

Good but... May 6, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am often frustrated with this writer's works. I know his writings are suppose to be gay eroticas but he does have a talent for coming up with interesting characters and plots. It is a pity the characters and plots are often secondary to and crowded by the sex scenes. Yes the sex scenes are wild and steamy but when there are too much they can get pretty repetitive and boring. Tripwire is no exception. Bones and Trip are interesting characters, a doctor and merc trying to survive against the odds in a hostile environment. Unfortunately any meaningful character and plot building has to give way to the sex. Tripwire will be a much better read if the sex scenes is toned down. On the other hand this is gay erotica. However I cannot help but be wishful for more serious gay romance from this writer.
A Must Buy September 22, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Sean Michael is one of my must buys. Everything he writes is worth reading. I've never read an author that makes their characters live and breathe the way he does. you feel like you should be able to email the characters after you're done with the story. This story is no exception. Trip and Bones are a great couple. If you like romance, suspense, and a just all around great entertainment you'll love this book.
Steamy Sex! Good Story! Weak content. May 27, 2007 I did not feel the characters of Trip and Bones(Tony) were developed enough and that I didn't get a feel of what they were about. There was a gap left in my mind regarding the bounty on Bones head toward the end which I thought would culminate in a more dramatic or confrontational chapter, since it touched briefly on Tony's background. It was suddenly resolved in a couple of paragraphs. Also, something was mentioned (I don't want to give it away) about Tony and was left out there as well. That's where my problem was with this wonderful story. I felt I had missed some chapters. However, the sex between Trip and Bones was sizzling, graphic, hot and erotic and delivered to us as only Sean Michael does.Good story and Sean Michael continues to amaze me with the various genre's he can write in with so much descriptive narrative as to put the reader there. Desert, jungle, paranormal, farm, ranch, etc.
