| Customer Reviews:
Superb graphics, tight little story November 2, 2008 Raise the dead combines four issues of a tale with several people trying to survive at the outset of the zombie apocalypse. Nothing new there but this efficient little story does not hold back as it rushes forward with the main characters, who all start out stuck in a diner as the world is coming down around them. We get to see flash backs to what brought them together, providing each with a bit more depth and allows you to care or dislike each character even more. We are given to believe that a meteor shower is the root cause of this raising of the dead but one of our characters is involved with a lab that is working to find ways to regenerate dead tissue, cure diseases, etc. As zombie fans we can guess where this leads to, though there are some surprises. You gotta love the attack of the undead lab rats.
But before we get too far, this brief tale is over. No one is safe here as zombies tear into the characters left and right. Though the story is nothing new in the zombie realm the glowing red eyes of the undead and wonderful artwork make this one a noteable graphic novel in the zombie realm.
