Product Description
Since 1972, BOGGLE has been a family favorite, and this twist on the game provides fans of the wildly popular Sit & Solve series with a heap of word-finding fun. Solvers are given just a few letters on a 4x4 BOGGLE board, as well as a list of words to find. Using ordinary BOGGLE rules (they can spell words by moving from letter to letter vertically, horizontally, or diagonally without using the same letter twice) they have to deduce the location of the remaining letters. The combination of logic and wordplay makes this a real treat. BOGGLE is a trademark of Hasbro and is used with permission. 2007 Hasbro. All Rights Reserved.

Sit and Solve Boggle - Nice Change of Pace April 21, 2008 When I first got this little booklet, I thought -- well, this will last a week or so. However, I've found it's a nice change up of my favorite Boggle challenges. Basically, you get a list of words, a selection of letters, and a grid with just a few letters placed. You have to add and arrange letters so that each word in the list is created according to the usual Boggle rules. Sounds easy -- and it is -- sometimes. The first few puzzles went by quickly -- but just the right amount of time for the proposed use (as indicated by puzzle book shape). However, I've come across a few that have required several sessions to solve, which is good because the puzzle book will last longer. I'm about a quarter of the way through the book, and my expectation (and hope) is that the puzzles will get progressively harder to offer greater challenge. (Of course, as with any puzzle of this type, the difficulty/challenge will depend on your brain's condition on a day-to-day basis -- which means somedays you'll get it right away (no-brainer!) and other days you'll struggle because your brain is on overload or barely functioning!)
Although I was initially disappointed in the brevity of the booklet (only 77 puzzles), I figured 45 cents a week (on a one-a-day basis) wasn't too extravagant for a little more brain exercise. Also, working with this method of "reverse Boggle" has improved my general "boggling" skills, in that I now recognize longer, spread out patterns more quickly and readily. Another plus is that its small size will make it ideal to tuck in my purse or travel bag for something to occupy my mind when "waiting".
For puzzle buffs...hits the spot! August 19, 2008 I love mildly challenging puzzles that I can take to the beach or relax with while in the tub or waiting for my car to get fixed. This book fills that need perfectly. Im not sure if its the best for toilet sessions, because after about a third of the way through the book, the puzzles can take 30 minutes to an hour to solve. I only have maybe 2 bm's a year of that type of duration. But if you are a Soduko fan and you like word games, this is perfect.
