Product Description Kevin Trudeau blows the lid off a nest of deception and double standards concerning general and individual health in this new book, Natural Cures "They" Don't Want You To Know About. Kevin has risked government prosecution to bring you the full story of an intricate conspiracy. From the retail supermarket outlets of huge, publicly traded corporations comes processed, manipulated, engineered "food products" -- produced by other wings of the same corporation. These artificial, toxic treats are then sold with the blessings of the Federal Trade Commission and Food and Drug Administration -- government organizations charged with safeguarding the public good -- laying the foundations for future disease and chronic ill-health for the consumer, and a guaranteed source of revenue for the medical and pharmaceutical sectors. Kevin reveals the shocking truth of how drugs - which are being advertised directly to the consumer, pushing their use to an all-time high - are actually the cause of illness and disease climbing to near epidemic levels. And, though it sounds dire, Kevin offers a light in the darkness and directs the reader to scores and scores of alternative therapies, medical practices, philosophies and -- most importantly -- potential cures that help your body regain its natural state of health and vibrancy. So follow Kevin on an amazing journey through the behind-the-scenes world of corporate sponsored "nutrition" and "health," and learn about Natural Cures "They" Don't Want You To Know About.

Not exactly what expected January 12, 2007 110 out of 121 found this review helpful
The book is everything but not exactly what you would expect to get judging by the title. Kevin Trudeau constantly refers to his website where one supposedly would get full explanation for various topics. The only problem is that no one can get any explanation free of charge. Once you land at the website, you will realize that there is almost nothing that you could learn unless you come up with some kind of payment! Otherwise the book has some valid and valuable information. However, there are many other books at the market that discuss natural cures, stress reduction methods, proper nutrition, proper breathing techniques, yoga, etc. They are often not only much more informative but at the same time also cheaper. Just look around Amazon and you will find them. I find the best alternative to "Natural Cures" are books by Mikhail T. such as Cure the Incurable, or a longevity book titled Can we live... They are absolutely noncommercial and full of useful info. In addition, their website is not only free of any charges but also provides some free ebooks on other health issues.
The pro of con is back! February 3, 2007 70 out of 92 found this review helpful
Scam-master Trudeau is back, again! After having claimed that he can cure mental retardation, autism, and cancer, after conning millions with his sham products, the government finally banned him from selling his quack elixirs. Being the genius that he is, he turned to writing books, claiming that the government is trying to suppress the fact that most diseases can be easily cured. If we cured them though, the medical industry would go away, and so would all that money. So why do doctors and their families die of cancer at the same rate as the rest of us? Are they SO afraid of the government that they refuse to use the secret cancer cures that Trudeau claims they know? Of course not! There is no cure for cancer! Let's hope Trudeau doesn't develop cancer soon, the nut! Or perhaps, let's hope he does! He is, after all, ultimately a predator, preying on the gullible, desperate, and uninformed. You have to buy this book, which contains NO natural "cures," and then you have to PAY again to access his website, which, surprise surprise, also contains NO natural "cures." Sure, he makes some claims, for instance: calcium cures cancer; the sun does NOT cause skin cancer, sun BLOCK causes skin cancer, etc., etc. His claims are so outlandish that they would be humorous if people didn't take him so seriously. If sun block causes skin cancer then why did people get skin cancer before sun block existed? He may claim that more people get skin cancer now, but that would only be because of the fact that "back in the day" most people didn't live long enough to develop it! It reminds me of the old quack claim that milk actually causes osteoporosis, because in countries where people don't drink milk, women don't develop it. These are third-world countries though, where most women don't live long enough to get osteoporosis!
If you purchase this book you are only giving your money to a felon and notorious thief.

I wouldn't buy this trash with your money September 17, 2007 37 out of 50 found this review helpful
Shameless pseudoscientific garbage from someone in trouble with the FTC. To paraphrase Jeff Foxworthy, "You might be an idiot if you spend good money on this book." As someone with a Ph.D. in Plant Science, it saddens me that real trees were used to manufacture this thing. If you have a need to be paranoid about something, direct it towards the IRS, the new world order, or Roswell aliens. Save your money and your health and pass this one up. If ever there was a good argument for book burning this would be it. You have to give it one star or the system won't accept the review -too bad, it should get a minus 5 stars IMHO. By the way, I did indeed buy a copy of this book - after it was 30% off at a local book store - and I do get good use out of it. I wave it around in front of my Basic Biology class every Fall semester as an example of the very real dangers associated with poor science literacy.
Nice door stopper August 20, 2007 36 out of 55 found this review helpful
It's literally sitting on the table collecting dust. I read through the first three chapters and realized that this guy would use the most insignificant and insane thread of evidence to support his claim and rebuke the established institutions. And try those remedies he mentioned at your own risk.
