These DVDs should be title Money Guy August 26, 2008 34 out of 99 found this review helpful
Family Guy started its life as a great show. Unlike anything before it. What happend is they pushed the bar; now drenched with fame the creators don't seem to care anymore. The first vol contained two seasons and really jumped started the DVD TV show craze that is now so popular. Its funny that the main reason the first and second vol DVD was so great is the very reason the recent ones arn't. These half seasons! I hope they take care of this. Also, the show it self is suffering. Stewie is now a homosexual; far from the violent devil he use to be. The show is not pushing any envolpe anymore. The jokes are old. They keep reapeating everything. I think Family Guy is going the way of the Simpsons. "As a used to be funny show."
BIG Fan with BIG Dissapointments October 1, 2008 26 out of 46 found this review helpful
Since Family Guy started, I have never missed an episode. It is Unique and Funny in every sense of the word. Lately, however, the series has drifted from away from random slapstick to current affairs. The show is becoming to politically correct and the humor is leaning toward specific audiences rather than everyone.
Plus, the fact that "Blue Harvest" will not be available in the season DVD is a crime. They are taking advantage of it's viewers by forcing them to buy the episode seperatly. Which shows me that they want to milk their fans for everything they got. Not a positive step, in my opinion.
More episodes to come. August 1, 2008 24 out of 34 found this review helpful
Despite what Adam Avery wrote in his review , Do not worry Family Guy fans these are not the last episodes. There will be plenty more. It is annoying that the Star Wars episode is not on this. Its bad enough that they don't realese full seasons rather partial season "Volumes" , and now they are realising seperate episodes. This seems like a big middle finger to the fans. You would think Seth Mcfarlane has enough money that he could just realese one season on one set. Apparently he does not.
5 stars for the show only, not the DVD! July 25, 2008 21 out of 26 found this review helpful
Don't believe all of the hype! They are leaving 4 episodes off of this set. So, once again we have to deal with their [..]! Look over at TV.com, under family guy and read the episode discriptions. The people who decide which episodes go on these dvd's should be fired! We shouldn't have to deal with these partial seasons [..]!!!!
Finally Here July 29, 2008 21 out of 38 found this review helpful
This three disc set includes the remaining five episodes of Season 5 and the first remaining episodes of Season 6, excluding Blue Harvest (No Meals on Wheels - McStroke)
Family Guy Never gets old, it just gets funnier and funnier, Add this new volume to your Collection
