Product Description
Nothing gets to Shane Elliott. A former Army Ranger, now head of security for a wealthy real estate tycoon, Shane can handle whatever life throws at him—until he meets the beautiful, kindhearted Paige Albright. She’s about to inherit a fortune, and Paige’s mother has asked Shane to investigate her boyfriend. It should have been a simple, standard assignment for Shane…if only Paige’s seductive mix of strength and vulnerability didn’t leave him wanting her for himself. All her life, Paige has put others’ needs before her own, even going so far as choosing a man to please her father. Now her mother’s mysterious houseguest is tempting her to go after what she truly wants…even if it’s the cool, assertive, irresistible Shane himself. But is he who he appears to be? And how can Paige know whether to trust her own judgment—and their red-hot attraction?

Shane FINALLY Meets His Match September 2, 2008 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Okay...no it isn't as HOT & SPICY as "Only You", but IMO it's still a GREAT BEGINNING to the "Grayson Friends" series. I was CAUGHT UP in Shane and Paige's journey to love. I ABSOLUTELY love the fact that they actually became friends before they became lovers. It's one of those romance novels that had me saying, "AWWWWW" out loud...LOL...and dabbing at a tear or two. So, even without the "HEAT" I thought Mrs. Ray still spun a sweet, sensual and charming romantic treat. I enjoyed the way Shane took care of Paige! He is DEFINITELY good for a girls ego! And for a man who knew NOTHING about love, he did quite well when courting and tending to Paige's every NEED. He was SEXY, intelligent, generous, EXTREMELY protective and a true gentleman. Shane is determined to protect Paige from any/all harm; including her own foolish behavior surrounding the issues she has with her mother throughout this novel. Shane and Paige compliment each other. He teaches her how to LET GO and have confidence in herself and she allows him to let his guard down and OPEN HIS HEART to things he doesn't even know he desires until he meets her. As always I enjoy catching up with all the Grayson's and their circle of family and friends. I can hardly wait to see what Mrs. Ray has in store for Rio. And I thought Noah and Gayle Mathis were quite a MEMORABLE addition to this series; I hope to see more of them in a future novel. Well done, Mrs. Ray!
Very Disappointed - "What happened Ms. Francis Ray"? September 7, 2008 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I will not go into a long dialog, because I've enjoyed every last single book that Ms. Francis Ray has previously written until this one, and I have them all in my library collection. I'm truly disappointed that I have to write this poor review, but I was so truly disappointed with this book. It was soooooo long and boring and with absolutely no passion. I never could get with the characters and took me forever to get to the end. You've missed the mark on this book. I'm truly surprised with the writing style of this book, but it is so not like Ms. Francis Ray's other books at all. What happened??????? Well, she is one of my favorite authors, and I will not give up on her after just one disappointing book. I will lookout for more of her usual spectaular books in the future.
soooo disappointed September 3, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was so excited to read this book. Only You was such a great book that I couldn't wait to read about Shane Elliot. This book was so slow that I almost gave up on it. There was no passion, no fire. I recommend checking it out from the library as opposed to purchasing it.
boring and disappointed September 23, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I really tried to finish this book, but I just couldn't, finally gave up on p231. I have read everyone of Ms Ray's books but the main characters were so disconnected. If you haven't bought this book, borrow it from your neighborhood library.

a good one August 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book did not have the same type of heat that I read in Only You, but it was just as good to read Shane's story to see what type of woman it would take to make him believe in love. Some parts are slow and makes you want to yell at the characters to get it together lol, but it's worth a read.
