Another GREAT book! July 5, 2006 19 out of 19 found this review helpful
Yet again Kenneth Bressett and R.S. Yeoman have outdone themselves. While not as detailed as the "Red Book", this book tells you, or gives you an idea, of what a dealer would pay for your coin. VERY valuable if your bidding at auction. You'd be suprised at what coins "trend" for then what a dealer will actually BUY them for. Sometimes about 1/4 of the trend. Great book if you don't want to get "suckered" into a bidding war!
Coin values. November 24, 2007 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
Well, if you're looking for a book of coin values brokers will pay, this is the book for you. The writing style is kinda dry, but it's just a book of information. If this is the information you are looking for, get this book. The presentation is nice.
Useful, but outdated March 11, 2008 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
While useful and informative and, indeed, a must if you buy coins, this book is quite outdated. Since the price of gold and silver have gone up considerably and change daily, the effect on coins is intense in many cases.
There are several sites online where you can get more up-to-date information. Yet having this handy is a good idea. I like having something near my work area and in my hands so I can quickly look up the information I want. Then I can follow that up by going to one of the Web sites.

A must for a coin collector's library February 9, 2008 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Gives one a real insight into Red Book prices dealers may charge. If you collect coins, this book to gives you a true understanding of what you can expect to receive when selling vs. what you pay when buying in a coin shop.
