| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Mommy Has A Tattoo tells the story of a little boy named James, who is afraid of his tattooed neighbor until he discovers that his own mother has a tattoo as well. The book emphasizes the importance of familiarizing children with tattoos at a young age and eliminates the common notion of "scary" that has sometimes been linked to tattoos. Tattoos are a source of pride for lots of Mommies, and a source of endless curiosity for their kids. The charming characters, bright colors, and delightful illustrations in Mommy Has A Tattoo show kids that tattoos, in fact, aren't scary at all!

Great little book !! December 29, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book is the absolute best way to help children gain understanding into the unknown and unfamiliar world of tattoo's. Having tattoo's myself, my grandchildren were always curious and this little story allows them to view the subject in a fun, happy way. Highly recommended !!
Teaching Tattoo Tolerance June 14, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Could the prettiest Mommy in the whole world have a tattoo hidden on her body? Young James is afraid of his heavily tattooed neighbor, so why would his Mommy be talking to the man? Is what his sister says true--that Mommy Has a Tattoo?
Author Phil Padwe (who sports some nice sleeves of his own in the back jacket picture) wrote this children's book as part of his mission of "Teaching Tattoo Tolerance." I hope the public libraries pick up on this one, and Padwe's lighthearted message spreads around the nation. Don't miss out on his follow up Tattoo Coloring Book #1, either. That title is great fun for children and adults alike.
A delightful picturebook May 13, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
James is a little boy who is afraid of his tattooed neighbor until he discovers that his own mother has a tattoo as well. "Mommy Has A Tattoo" is a delightful picturebook written and illustrated by Phil Padwe to familiarize young children with tattoos and show that people who have them can be every bit as nice as people who don't. Children will learn that there are a lot of Mommies that have tattoos and that body art in the form of tattoos can be very interesting and not scary at all! "Mommy Has A Tattoo" is especially recommended reading for children with an interest or concern about tattoos and would make an excellent addition to both school and community library picturebook collections for young readers.
My son loves this book! April 23, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am absolutly in love with this book! My son loves to look at my tattoos and to point out what they are of. He has never been scard of people with tattoos- but I was glad to see that there finally is a book that can point to other children that tattoos are really part of the norm these days and nothing to be afraid of. The book is very cute and colorful. He requests the book now every night before bedtime. I would definatly recomend this book to any parent- regardless if they have tattoos themselves.
so cute! April 17, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I loved this book! my husband and I have quite a few tattoo's and this is a great way to help our son not fall into the stereotypical way of thinking that only bad people have tattoo's. I Love the illustrations...its just a must have for the new generation of parents out there.
