| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description A moving--and moving!--picture book featuring charming pop-up paper engineering, Animus is the story of a little girl and a vicious dog. From her first frightful encounter with the animal, through a fanciful series of attempts at communication, the girl comes to realize that some differences are irreconcilable. This book utilizes a unique mix of beautiful paintings and cleverly animated pop-up elements to bring its characters and their emotions to life. Children and adults will relate to this story's well-intentioned protagonist, and to the notion that some bullies are destined to remain bullies no matter how hard one tries to change them.

A Blessing of a Book September 8, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For myself and my child - buy this book! it is highly inventive, and the joy in my daughter's eyes when she sees (and operates herself) the carefully crafted moving parts would be worth it alone, but the message it contains is a lasting one for both adults AND children.
Beautiful Book June 29, 2006 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have been a fan of Seonnas for only a year. I love her art. I think she's great. So when I found out that she made a pop up book I was psyched. Totally worth the price. If you are a fan of her art work or just someone that appreciates art then be sure to check this out.
The only quarm I had was that there were a couple of pages that were just standard and had nothing cool going on. But the colorful artwork made up for the lack of pop up.
Overall the book was a great buy and is really cool. I highly reccommend it.
Suprisingly Touching June 7, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This pop-up book for adults and kids alike is short, but beautifully illustrated with a poetic theme that I found suprisingly emotional.
A lovely work that you'll return to time and again.
bought this for my girlfriend's birthday April 6, 2006 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a beautiful pop up book, I picked this up after seeing her artwork elsewhere. Google sienna hong and take a look at the results for more examples of her painting. The poem that goes along with it is a bit awkward, the words are not a little above the average kid's vocabulary.
