Product Description Honey Flava features an erotic feast of short stories with enough Asian flava to ignite fireworks. With an African American and Asian mix of sexy characters, Zane picks the most clever and bold male and female writers to deliver a collection like no other. Stories like Geisha Girl and Pins and Needles give tea and acupuncture a whole new meaning, and the word "Master" is a term of endearment in The Meaning of Zhuren. In tantalizing portraits of some of the hottest -- and sweetest -- scenes you'll ever want to experience, Honey Flava will take you to a sensual paradise of no return. Zane delivers a new and special taste, proving that passion and sensuality have truly universal meaning.

enjoyed May 29, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I liked this book for two reason. The first that it was an exploration of erotica featuring Asian/AfriAmericans together and second I believe there is a story there for everyone. It was enjoyable read, that I zipped through quickly; sadden that it wasn't longer. I hope she plans to make a second set of stories dealing with Honey Flava.
A let down June 19, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is my second book by Zane like the other I will return tomorrow. I thought that all the stories were with black women and asian men. That was not so, the only one I enjoyed that was too short was Lisa G Riley's "Double Ten". Maybe I just misinterpreted the Anthology but I won't make the same mistake a third time.
Tepid at best June 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After reading The Sex Chronicles I and II, Chocolate Flava, Succulent, Caramel Flava (my favorite so far) and others, I was looking forward to another "hot read". Sadly, the vast majority of the stories in this compilation are a lukewarm disappiontment. A few of the stories are trite and devoid of eroticism, plot and character development while others are just plain dry.
I took my time and read this book cover to cover. At the end, I was left with the feeling that this compilation was very hasitly thrown together...slapdash at best. Honey Flava truly misses its mark. There is not enough vividness in the descriptions of the characters or the storylines themselves, which counts as a double disappiontment because I've read other stories by some of the contributing authors with a fan in one hand and the book in the other hoping that I wouldn't overheat. Zane and the rest of the contributing authors, I still believe in you.
Here's hoping that this was/is simply a "one-off".
Better luck next time.
loved it June 7, 2008 I wanted to more, i read this book and was crazed about it!! I love zane and she really took to the next level!! The next one needs to be way longer!!!
You love this book long time... August 8, 2008 Ok, Ok that may not be the most PC title but I don't care. Zane has brought sex and sexuality back with her latest Anthology, this time with an Asian flavor. There seriously ought to be a law against books that are this erotic. I finished this book in about one a half days! Not a record for most but for me it's something... especially with all the cold showers and drinking of Aquafina! As with all of her Anthologies, Zane has a story for everyone.
I do have one little observance; while this was pegged as a collection of Asian sexuality I didn't see a whole lot of that, meaning Asian influence. Yes, most of the characters were Asian. Yes, a lot of the scenery/environment was Asian. Yes, there was some dialogue, but it was missing a little something. I guess I wanted more Asian in my Asian! You know how when you go get shrimp fried rice and you don't get enough shrimp? I wanted more shrimp in my rice with this Anthology.
Here are the stories that I REALLY liked: 'Emma's Cricket Lesson' 'May I Ask A Favor of You?' 'Gimme Some Yang' (MY FAVORITE!) 'Seduction of Nguyen Lang Ha' 'Chocolate Cream'
Here are the stories that I liked: 'The Meaning of Zhuren' 'Photo Shoot' 'Pins & Needles' 'Double Ten' 'Dragon's Breath' 'Mistress Charisma Treatment' 'Land of The Rising Sun' 'Big Bang Theory'
There's no need to put the ones that I didn't like since I'm sure you can figure that out anyway. All of Zane's anthologies are absolutely wonderful. Because of these erotic collections I've found new authors to read and new fantasies to dream about.
