5 out of 5 stars This is a dandy!   October 28, 2004

My 15-month old daughter spends a bit of time almost daily with this book. She was about 10 months at the time we purchased it and fell in love right away. She loves to act out the movements and watch us as we do it. The rhymes are fun, and the perfect length to hold the attention of little ones. This is also a good one to act out in the car, as it takes no time to have it memorized.

5 out of 5 stars Great illustrations!   March 31, 2004

My daughter is very active and this is the only book that she will actually sit still for while I read to her. The illustrations are fabulous and the actions are simple enough for an 8-9 month old to mimic.

Ten Little Fingers by Annie Kubler is one of a series of books that is a perfect fit for very little ones. The rhythm and rhyme draws their attention and the illustrations are big blobs of color, sharply delineated from each other. You can start with an infant who is old enough to focus and they will be enthralled by the colors. The size of the book is good for holding open with one hand as you hold the baby in the other arm.

5 out of 5 stars A HUGE HIT WITH MY 10 MONTH OLD   January 1, 2006

He is IN LOVE with this book and can act out a lot of the pages as we go. Today it saved me on the changing table (he sat still while I read it from memory) and in the car! It is, by far, his favorite. I also recommend "Brown Bear, Brown Bear."

1 out of 5 stars This book is awful   May 6, 2007

I bought this book based on all the positive reviews I read here. I've never been so misled by reviews on Amazon.com before. My 13-month-old daughter will typically sit on my lap for 20-30 minutes at a time while we read board book after board book. She has zero interest in this book. In fact, it was on the coffee table the other day and she passed it over to sit and look at the pictures in National Geographic. The rhythm is not interesting, the hand gestures are boring and difficult to demonstrate while reading and looking at the pictures -- and speaking of pictures, the illustrations are horrible. My daughter is usually delighted with any book having to do with babies. Well, the babies illustrated in this book are obese (not cutely plump, but acutally lumpy), with huge heads and freakishly small hands and feet. There are so many great board books out there (Dr. Seauss's Foot Book was a hit with both my kids); don't waste your money on this one.
