The story begins as Emma, a hotshot coder, is passed over for a promotion at a military contractor in favor of a sexy young woman named Jennifer. Jennifer, is sexy, short of skirt and long of leg, and every move she makes seems well designed to seduce men. Emma is told-without-telling that she was passed over for the promotion because she did not "dress the part" of a manager.

Emma decides she will buy some new clothes, and on the way home from work, stops at a shoe boutique that seems to have sprung up out of nowhere. She buys a pair of seductive high heels.

And there begin her problems. The shoes are control devices designed by her company to lure women into a life of complete, utter sexual submission to and humiliaton by the ":Inner Circle" of male senior managers where she works. They attempt to use Charlie, a "friend" of hers from the company, to gradually break her will and train her to be their sexual slave.

But Charlie has his own agenda, and what happens is a surprise I'll leave for the reader.

This one is amazing. I've never read better language, more delicate, sexual, erotic descriptions of the female form and emotional state, and a stronger reason to be the good guy-you never know what rewards it may bring. There is power in Han Li Torn's writing.

First off, you wouldn't expect me to give less than 5 stars to my own novella :-) so please bear the authorship of this note in mind as you read my rating and "review".

To start with, here's the blurb I wrote for the publisher:

Han Li Thorn has the ability to present the conflicting desires of a woman for submission and rebellion, and he sates them both with doses of domination and victory. I enjoyed this book because of the exceptionally high quality of writing and character development. This is definitely something lacking in most erotica, especially bdsm. The high tech control aspects were slightly annoying at times, but not enough to change my rating. I especially liked how he is able to bring out the masterful and forceful aspects of the normally gentle and quiet Charlie - just the kind of strong-but-loving man that a lot of us like to read about. I hope Han Li Thorn's writes more erotica - soon!
