Utter Dissapointment October 12, 2007 8 out of 21 found this review helpful
itunes was easy, accessable and WORKED ON MY MAC! Obviously NBC wants to try and beat apple at the game they will ineviably win. No offense to amazon, you're great for meeting alot of my online shopping needs but a Windows exclusive non-ipod compatable video download might as well be a paper weight to me. BOOOO.
Unbox Disappointing October 27, 2007 4 out of 18 found this review helpful
Expats beware! I'm extremely disappointed that Unbox is only available in the U.S. This isn't a problem for iTunes...not sure why Amazon can't solve for it like Apple can! Amazon isn't a global company yet.
Fantastic show, worthless download: doesn't work with Macs or iPods. January 9, 2008 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
Fantastic show, worthless download.
without any support for Macs, this is pretty worthless. Not working with ANY iPods makes this completely worthless.
...and now that NBC pulled this show from iTunes, there's no way for me to watch it on my TV (or iPod.)
Seems like NBC is trying everything they can to keep me from watching their show, and this half-solution from Amazon is not helping at all.
Amazon: where's the DRM-free, iPod and Mac compatible Video store? (Like the Amazon MP3 store...)
This is B.S. February 27, 2008 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
I am a U.S. soldier serving overseas in Iraq and I have heard about the big NBC/Apple battle concerning the shows that they have on. I figured no big deal I would just get it from Amazon (yea I am not very brand loyal). I go to buy the episodes and I find out that I am still cut off from the world due to NBC being a bunch of dweebs. It seems I apparently can't watch them even though I am a U.S. Citizen but I am overseas. What is NBC thinking? they are losing out on a bunch of money I am sure and they are just being a bunch of pansy's in my opinion. Come on NBC lighten up and give your business back to Itunes so I can get my shows in my combat zone.
One of TV's best comedies gets off to a weak start October 26, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I'm going to blame it on Jerry Seinfeld. Well, not him precisely, but I do think that the presence of one of the biggest names ever on TV comedy contributed to making this one of the weakest episodes ever of 30 ROCK. The cast of this show is incredibly fine, but all of them had to be somewhat suppressed to make room for Seinfeld.
There are some good moments. My favorite is undoubtedly that Jenna spent her summer doing a stage version of MYSTIC PIZZA, which required her to eat several slices of pizza each evening. The result was that she gains an enormous amount of weight. Subsequent episodes exploit this in wonderful fashion.
Established fans of this show will probably find this episode a disappointment. But following episodes have been quite up to last year's high standards. Newcomers to the show should know that despite the presence of Seinfeld, this is not a typical episode. Usually it is one of the sharpest shows on TV.
