Excellent set of books and tapes for self-study August 25, 1998

Together with volumes 2 and 3, this is an excellent set of books and audio tapes with professional Korean speakers. You are carefully guided through the material, so you can study even without a help of some instructor. Very quickly you will learn the alphabet, the basic conversations and later even more complex grammar and vocabulary. Also, there is a very deep explanation of Korean language history and the fundamental differencies with the Western languages. If you liked Tolkien's explanation of the Elf's language, you'll love this one!
