I use this little book to help reinforce my phonics lessons for elementary-school-aged English students in Japan. I ask them to tell me what letter makes the sound of any particular part of a word. I usually "give" them any unusual spellings or silent letters. It's great for reinforcing their understanding of simple sounds and they have a creative "free time" coloring the adorable pictures. Very popular, particularly with the girls.
