Small Book June 23, 2005 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I was more than a little disappointed to see I had paid $3.49 for a book that is about the size of a 4x6 photograph! Especially when the price on the back cover says $1.50!! I've seen nicer books for about $1.50 at Target that also can fit in your purse for when you are on the go. Beware of the tiny size of these "Dover Little Activity Books"!! You get what you pay for.
Great for preschoolers January 9, 2000 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
My 4 year old (soon to be 5) loved this book! He is not one to sit for very long and work on anything but coloring. He keeps asking me to help him with this book! It is helping with alphabet recognition! I can see a difference in just 2 days! Great book!
caution: all lower case letters April 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I did not think this was a bad "little" book. But I interpreted the word "little" to mean the size of the book, which in fact, was little. However I think what they meant was that all the letters in the dot-to-dots were lower case, i.e. "little" letters. This makes a big difference at that very young age where they are just learning their alphabet. My daughter could have done a capital letter dot-to-dot independently, but needs alot of guidance with the lower case version. That's not necessarily a bad thing - it just depends on what stage of letter recognition your child is, and whether you had planned to have your child use the book independently or not.
run of the mill dot to dot September 1, 2008 My daughter is starting school this year and I wanted to find a fun way for her to practice her lower case letters. So, I bought this book because another reviewer said this book had lower case letters; it doesn't. On the plus side, it is a small book (about the size of a large index card) so it fits well in their hands and is good for something to do while traveling.
