Excellent! September 19, 2000 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
Wonderfully detailed line drawings to color. Each has an historical note and date. My only caveat is that felt pens bleed through the paper so crayon or pencils only.
great April 19, 2003 6 out of 7 found this review helpful

Beautiful and informative July 19, 2005 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I ordered this book for my four year-old son, who enjoys coloring pages with lots of detail. However, the historical tidbits are probably lost on him. My fourteen year-old brother, on the other hand, spent hours completing several pages once he got his hands on them. My husband couldn't resist coloring a couple, either. So, if you're travelling and have limited space but lots of free time to fill, pack one of these coloring books-- for yourself OR the young'uns. I am planning to order more titles from the same publisher.
This is a beautiful coloring book January 15, 2003 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this coloring book as a birthday present for my eleven-year-old son, who is really into art, history and drawing. He absolutely loved it! The illustrations are very detailed and not at all cartoonish. He uses colored pencils, which I would recommend over crayons or markers for this particular book. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in historical costumes, too.
