Thought provoking September 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I really enjoyed this little book that is a thought provoking and fast read. It is an excellent gift for a teen entering high school or a senior getting ready to make choices building a life in the adult world. A wonderful tool for women of any age to read every 5 years or so to help them rethink and evaluate whether they or living the life they envisioned for themselves. They may wish to redirect goals for the future and better enjoy the now. It may give them the validation they need and may not be getting.
A Hard-Covered Essay on Life September 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Browsing through a local bookstore while my wife was finishing her errands, I came upon this book, Maria Shriver's latest. The title grabbed my attention and it's thickness seemed to fit the short window of time that I was alloted. I found an overstuffed chair, plopped down, and began to read. Within a couple of minutes, it had my fullest attention and I hoped that I could finish it before my wife returned. As I turned the last few pages, my wife stood before me. She asked what I was reading, and I told her that I just finished Maria Shriver's marvelous essay on life. I told her that it was a writing that everyone should take the time to read. So, we bought it, and after my wife finished it, we passed it on to relatives and friends. Today, it sits here on my book shelf, patiently waiting for me to plop in a chair and read it again.
The Freedom to Be Me! September 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A delightful little book which once again re-minded me of the opportunity and the choice that I have to determine who I will be in each and every present moment. It is uplifting and inspiring and I gave a satisfying YES! at the end. It will make a perfect gift for anyone able to hear its message. EAU
Very Satisfactory October 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was able to read this little book in one sitting, but the wisdom shared out of it was inspiring to me.
bookclub May 18, 2008 I FOUND THE BOOK TO BE SMALL AND COULD BE READ IN ONE SETTING. IT WAS VERY INTERESTING AND HELPFUL TIPS ON HOW TO PLAN WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH YOUR LIFE AND BE MORE SUCCESSFUL.
