A Foreign Policy of Freedom November 30, 2007 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Makes the political jargon easy to understand. This man is not just a historian but an economist. He is the first live Patriot I've ever met face to face. I now understand the slippery slope our country is headed for, infact the only way out is for Ron Paul to become President.
This book is a must read and should be circulated in every high school and college.

Dr. Paul is the stuff, on which this country was founded. The likes of Jefferson, Washington & Franklin would be proud. It's a travesty to our beloved Constitution what the Bush Regime, Inc. has done to our rights, in this so-called land of the Free..
Wake up America- before it's too late! I smell a revolution brewing...
The Prescient One November 25, 2007 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
What an astounding piece of work. Ron Paul is gifted in both thought and word. He communicates his ideas with precise and convincing language and demonstrates great thoughtfulness, especially with regards to how honest friendship ought to be built between nations.
Reading this you will be both disgusted and take aback with awe. Disgusted by how our government and foreign policy malign our constitution and sovereignty, awed by how prescient Ron Paul is of our current situation.
A must read for all, especially those who are believer in interventionism.
A Longer term perspective on current events December 22, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This collection of speeches to the House of Representatives covers the entire time Ron Paul has been a congressman. As a presidential candidate, it is worthy of reading, because it gives a clear view of the consistency of his view of foreign policy. Not easily summed up in any "bumper sticker" type of slogan, Dr. Paul's views are subtle, yet always in keeping with a Constitutional interpretation of government function. Had his views been heeded in action, I doubt we would have seen the mess with Al Qaeda, or of the many other problems we've had in the post-cold war era of foreign policy. He is well-informed and well-reasoned; something I wish more of our representatives and other leaders could claim with a straight face.
Ron Paul: my new hero January 18, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I had previously held the opinion that the claim that the Iraq War was all about oil, and that big business was pushing our agressive, nonsensical foreign policy, was just a part of the liberal agenda to reclaim the white house. Surely, this could not be true; how would US citizens ever let the government get away with that? To spend trillions, and worse yet, allow young people to die, for oil? When at the same time it appears to be so important to use clean energy that the government must mandate and subsidize it? That just wouldn't make any sense!
I agree with Dr. Paul 110% on economic policy - he is very well learned in this area - so I was willing to hear him out on foreign policy. I was shocked by what I read. Many times, Dr. Paul predicts those things (in his address to Congress) which do end up occurring. That's the most appealing part of this book - you see the obvious timeline, taken down in Congressional record - Paul's prediction, Congress ignores, disaster ensues, aftermath, Paul's prediction, Congress ignores, disaster, etc.. This occurrs frequently enough, you'd think after 20 yrs, Congress would listen to the guy.
