Outstanding!! July 17, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am a professional illustrator and own almost all of the "Art of" books from Disney and Pixar. This book ranks right up there with the best of them. If you were blown away by the creativity of the movie then you will not be disappointed with this book...beautifully illustrated...even a lot of stuff that never made it into the film.
Excellent artistic book August 24, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Very good book for people who are looking for tips in the hand draw cartoon character area. The different position of the mouse, the correct way you can draw a character make the book a very valuable tool. It is really bad that there is not much information in the 3d area and I myself bought this book much more to find 3d tips.

Just the tip of the iceberg July 29, 2007 After watching this film I was compelled to see what work went into creating such a visually satisfying piece of film. So, I bought the Art of Ratatouille and came to realization that this was only the tip of the iceberg and I can't wait now to see the behind the scenes of the DVD when it is released. If you love the movie and enjoy seeing how these modern masters create this wonderful film you'll be pleased to add this book to your collection.
great!! August 1, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have all the other pixar " art of's " & this one is of the same high quality. If your an aspiring artist these books are great inspiration
Haute Cusine Eye Candy August 6, 2007 A magical depiction of Paris, cusine and rodents. The array of sketches, concept paintings, reference art and character studies is wonderful. I'd say exceptional, but I've got other "art of" books about Pixar films and they are all universally excellent. The book is both a delightful celebration of the movie and a charming book even if you haven't seen the movie.
