Imaginative story line of an alternate Regency England where boys are expected to remain chaste and pure before marrying another man. They must be courted as would a young woman.
Inter-galactic military man,Nathaniel Hawkins arrives on the planet and soon meets a household full of rowdy royal princes. Prince Aiden Townsend catches the eye of Captain Hawkins and the two soon become caught up in intrigue as they follow illegal weapons.
There is an attraction but neither can act on their impulses, thus creating desire. Aiden has a coming out ball and Captain Hawkins will be there for the first dance.
Very sensual, exciting story combing heat,desire with the intrigue of secondary story.
I have been awaiting a sequel since I read this as an e-book, but sadly must wait until /09

Great Galaxy! This Is One Hot Novel! May 18, 2008
This is my first read by J.L. Langley. It was an interesting approach to take for a novel of this genre. Actually the real reason I chose to read this one was because it's premise sounded a little different (taking place in the year 4829, and on a planet other than Earth). Needless to say the cover art attracted me as well. I loved this book, Langley (a woman) writes some of the best (if not the best) M/M erotica that I have ever read. Our main characters, Nate and Aiden, are a part of this amazing romantic love story. Additionally, the author gives us intrigue, mystery and a whole lotta' off the hook man love. I am definitely going to purchase some of her earlier work. It's a definite read for those of you who appreciate this genre of literature, it will absolutely keep you up all night! A must read!

I love J.L. Langley's works and this one is no exception! She creates some delightful/delicious characters here: Nate Hawkins is mid-thirties, alpha male, hunk-a-dunk,decisive military man, strong and dependable. Prince Aiden Townsend is smaller, pretty, extremely artistic and talented, more interested in his painting than in finding his life partner -- that is, until he gets an eyeful of Nate. The sexual attraction between the two is immediate and through the roof hot! In fact, the attraction is so strong and so mutual that it is clear very early in the book that they will become lovers and life partners. Throw in some other interesting characters, including Nate's adoptive son Jeremy (or "Trouble," as Nate insists, with some justice, on calling him) and Aiden's brothers (several of whom are also interesting and clearly will be the subjects of sequels to this novel), and a murder mystery that threatens harm to several main characters, and you get a fun read. While there are several hot erotic scenes, the overall strength of the book is the romance. If you're into romance with an erotic spice and if you've read and loved other of Ms. Langley's books, I strongly suggest you get this one and have a great time.
REGENCY AT ITS BEST May 26, 2008
My Fair Captain is a brilliant regency story with a sci-fi setting. It is the young men whose virture is guarded amongst the Ton, yet the story has the advantage of space travel. Captain Nate is a space ship captain, his love interest is Prince Aiden. J.L. Langley has created the best of two worlds. A historical and sci-fi period combined for a very proper and amazing Gay regency period saga. This is a fabulous tale and I hope there is more in the future.
Fantastic Sci-Fi and romance June 15, 2008
I literally could not put this book down. I hope there are more books coming about Nate and Aiden and the mysterious workings going on behind the scenes. And I wouldn't mind a prequel featuring King Steven and the King consort Raleigh. And what happens with Josh and Rexley???
This story is so good, but it begs for more, more, MORE! This book is the tip of the iceberg for what could be an epic series.
