I went into this book not expecting much, having read a lot of negative reviews. And to be honest, I didn't think it was bad. Is it the next great literary novel? No. Was it fun to read? Yes. I thought the characters were fine, true enough to form, and the story moved along nicely. Grandma once again is one of the high points of the story with her escapades, and the other ancillary characters (Mooner, Gary, Zook) are fun and enjoyable. I wasn't too keen on the character of Brenda, but otherwise I thought the cast was superb. The plot was the usually, zany madcap adventure, probably not wholly realistic and believable, but none of the series has really been that way. I think it makes a perfectly good installment in what is a great series.

Another book for Mom to listen to and when I stopped by today she was still laughing. Just loves the characters (don't we all??) and was still chuckling when I left after her telling me how much fun she was having listening to it!

I haven't read this yet waiting for the paper back. I just wanted to say I love the first few books, I'm up to Hot Six now, and have the rest,I buy them to add them to my collection but lately I have been thinking, How many more books can she write in this series, Soon it is going to get boring and overdone. I'll buy the 14 one just to have it for my collection. I hope that the book is better than some of the comments left about it

The second disc was the same as the first so do not know if I heard the whole book or not otherwise was OK.
