4 out of 5 stars A little disappointed   May 12, 2008

This was a good read, but I was a little disappointed...the book seemed like a filler and didn't have much action until the end. And now I have to wait until December for the final installation! I think this would have been a great one-book novel.

3 out of 5 stars The Hollow   May 12, 2008

this was an OK read for me. I have been a Roberts fan for years and go to her book signings often. I have loved most of her works. I have to agree with another reviewer on this site though. Roberts characters are just the same old stuff over and over and over again in her trilogies. say smart mouthed tough female or version of, Don't get me wrong I love powerful women characters but I am sick of the same type of character again and again.

I would like to see different types of characters like in her earlier works instead of versions of the same old stuff.

4 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Story   May 22, 2008

I enjoyed the first book of the Sign of Seven Trilogy, and The Hollow, the second book, was just as enjoyable. All the characters, Layla, Fox, etc were each in their own way intriguing, humorous, and romantic. The plot is exciting, and the ending is extremely satisfying. I thought it was a wonderful story and it moved along nicely and kept my interest to very last page.

1 out of 5 stars Disappointed   June 8, 2008

I was so looking forward to this book and the wait seemed like forever. I did enjoy the first book, but this was soooooo slow. And, it took forever for anything to get going. Yes, we know the two main characters will fall madly, madly in love, but that didn't need 318 pages to happen. The first book had a lot of excitement, this was a romance novel with a bit of spooky-doings -- bit being the keyword. I will wait yet again for the next one to come out -- too long by the way, you forget what happens in the first one. I do love trilogies, but next time will wait and by all three at once. Hope the next one has more pizzaz.

1 out of 5 stars Disgraceful   June 13, 2008

Being a fan of Roberts from the early days and thinking the woman could do no wrong as far as writing I can't express my disappointment with this latest book. I'm not enthusiastic about futuristics and paranormals, but this is outrageouly disgraceful and downright awful. Another writer may not have gotten this book in print and that is disgraceful as well. Nora seems to be getting along on past performance and name recognition. I think I'm mad at myself for buying the darn thing when the first book was so ridiculous but I'll probably always be a sucker for her early work which I so well enjoyed.
