How Odd June 19, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Being a big fan of all of the Odd books, i have to say this one was not that great. It starts off very slow and has it's ups and downs. I kind of found myself drifting off into la la land at some points. If you keep up with the Odd series than you might want to read this just so you can have a idea what the next book is going to be about.
a rushed written book June 20, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Disappointed with Koontz on this one,I won't be preordering any more of his books.
not great June 22, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I usually love ANYTHING Dean Koontz, and I LOVE the other three books in this series, but I didn't like this one. The story was weak to me. The other three had original, inventive plots, this one just seemed plain and boring.Maybe the next one will be better.
Harder to hold my interest July 2, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
As always, I wait anxiously for the newest Koontz book to arrive. While it was good, it failed to hold my interest as much as his books usually do. The banter was sometimes rambling and glib and I'd catch myself scanning over paragraphs.
Not my favorite, but still a good read. July 3, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have read the whole ODD series, and I have loved them all! Odd Thomas is just a lovable character and someone you just cant get enough of. This book was probably my least favorite, however still worth the read. The humor in this book makes you laugh and it keeps you wondering what will happen next... however.... my issue with this book is that there was too many unanswered questions.... hmmmmm? Even though it wasn't my favorite, it is still a must read for the ODD lover. I am still looking forward to the next book in the series. S.L.
