Terrific on CD, too. June 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Rather than repeat what so many others have already said about the content of the book, I'd simply like to say the CD is wonderful, too. Bob Craig has a deep, calm pleasant voice and brings added dimension to Paul's words. it's a pleasure to listen to. It's SO well done!
Worth reading June 1, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Dr. Paul does a great job explaining his views in the book. I follow him even though I don't agree with everything he stands for. In the book, he doesn't mention usury itself as the root cause of the failure of the current economic system. Changing to the gold standard, as Dr. Paul proposes, won't change a thing, as long as all money in circulation continues to be tied to the burden of interest and its direct inflationary effect. Even Dr. Paul is mute when it comes to this issue; But at least he is trying to present some of these taboo subjects. The rest of the material is also well explained, while still light-weight, perhaps a bit much; but very interesting and worth the read (about 7-9 hours).
Read before you vote. June 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Unfortunately most Americans spend more time brushing their teeth just once than researching who they will cast a vote for to lead our country. This book made me a believer that Ron Paul is the ONLY viable candidate America has. The rest of the lot running for president will be nothing more than more of the same (crap). This book should be a MANDATORY read before anyone casts a vote this year!
A Book For a Generation June 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If every American would read this book, they would understand the current situation and why we have a constitution and a bill of rights. It would expose the T.V. generation of people to the TRUTH !
The Oracle Ron Paul has spoken, the people need to listen. June 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was writing to friends and family about inflation in 2005, and really stepped it up in 2006. I tried over and over and over again to explain the Commodities Price Index vs "Core Inflation," the M3/M3b, money supply, etc. I tried so hard. Most nodded and knew that something was wrong, yet despite every tax payer being blatantly robbed in the past 3-4 years, a man came out of the blue to give hope. Ron Paul. Then I found him telling the Fed in 1983 decades before it came to pass the reckless polices that have been foisted on the tax paying public. (See video 6epCVUppjJM for a start.)
This book is an essential read, we are no longer Free Americans as the framers were, but subjects of the military industrial complex, and we have a waning but extant chance of taking this country back. We must embrace the libertarian and framing ideals or the last Island of freedom on earth will succumb and become totalitarian/authoritarian like the rest of the world governments.
Its not about right wing or left wing, its about control. Both "sides" aren't a side at all, both "sides" want to control your every move, and it is this we must resist like hell!
