Not Jeffrey's Best but Still Good May 7, 2007 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
In my opinion, Jeffrey's "Little Books" tend to erode a bit in quality from book to book. I think part of this is the fact he returns to the same themes over and over in hs books, so there isn't much here you haven't seen in his earlier publications. He is mostly mining familar Gitomer territory here.
Still, I give his titles to my salespeople and they seem to eat his words like candy. Jeffrey focuses on the basics of selling (being accountable, delivering value, making yourself different) and such themes never go out of style, no matter how many times you read them.
Come on, go straight to the point, Jeffrey ! June 6, 2007 10 out of 15 found this review helpful
Whant to be a better persuader, right? Want to be a presenter, uh?
Ok. You can buy this book. But you'll save only 3 pages on a total of 201.
Jeffrey is a master on flying around concepts... and around, and around. Some sections of the book recall past books from the author, while other sections, you can bet on it, will "inspire" additional books from him.
I added a star because he is very smart.
Good Book July 7, 2007 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
This is the 3rd book by Jeffrey Gitomer that I have read and again I am amazed!!! His clarity to any situation is inspiring. Along with this quality he brings a certain in your face effect that jolts your brain into understanding. Everything that he writes contains something that you already know. This helps you relate to him as well as his teachings. Another great run for Gitomer- A must read for ANYONE. Not those just in sales.
Green is good, Red is Better April 14, 2007 8 out of 11 found this review helpful
Gitomer is masterful at demonstrating fresh ways to look at the same basic ideas on how to sell, persuade and influence. His Red Books are his best works and should be the foundation of any sales library. The Gold Book is another must buy. The Green Book (and Black, too) are good books to read and have many important concepts that require mastery, but the subject is spread a little thin at times. This book, in particular, could have easily been another two or three chapters in the Little Red Book of Selling.
Still, I enjoyed the read. I think that Gitomer is the man and I will continue to purchase everything that he writes. For those of you who may have an opportunity to see him live, do it. You won't be disappointed.
If green were gold, this book would be priceless! April 24, 2007 8 out of 14 found this review helpful
Looking for a way to get yours? Look no further. I have recently seen Jeffrey live and his principles, simply, work. You'll find yourself laughing at his humor. Then you'll realize you're laughing at yourself, because you've done the same mistakes. It's at this point, you begin to learn. While he has you laughing at yourself (and others), Jeffrey pours gallons of practical principles down your throat which lead to success; success as a person, in your business, and in your life.
