I think people will be disappointed if they are expecting the Poison sound here. These songs just don't have that same pep and magic. Bret seems to have gone more for a bluesy and raw sound here, but it is very tepid at best.
Amazing that this CD has risen to number 39 based just on the popularity of his reality show. Buy this album and all you'll be doing is funding the Bret Michals retirement fund. If you want the classic Poison sound, buy a Best of Poison CD. If you want good NEW rock and roll from an 80's hair/glam band, buy the new Motley Crue release. Now THEY finally recaptured that classic sound they had in the 80's. Unless you are a die hard Bret Michaels fan and just like to hear his voice, without any regard for the quality of the song, I would not recommend buying this. The new Whitesnake album is far better than this, and David Coverdale is quite a bit older than Bret!

Great R&R album with meaningful lyrics on some songs and fun lyrics on the others. The sound is "updated 80s" and is way better than a lot of the new albums that come out these days.

This album brings Rock and Roll back. The guitar work on this album is fantastic and Bret brings it with the vocals. "Go That Far" is an instant classic. If you are looking for a good disc to pop in for a road trip this is a great choice. Anyone that likes Poison and good rock music will love this album.

"Rock My World" is a great music album by Bret Michaels, featuring all the music heard on his number 1 hit reality tv series "Rock Of Love".
The album is a 'best of Bret Michaels compilation' with all the best tracks from his last 2 albums "Freedom Of Sound" and "Songs Of Life", along with 4 awesome new tracks: "Go That Far" the theme song for Rock Of Love, "Fallen", "Start Again" and a remix of "It's My Party".
This album will rock your world.
