Product Description Wumpscut has come a long way since its 1991 conception by Rudy Ratzinger. Not since "Evil Young Flesh" has there been an album with such ferocity. From the opening antagonist "Rusty Nails From Hell" that pushes the listener over the edge, to the redefined classic sound of "Rifki", to the techno infused "Hard To Bear", to the closing resolution "Nest", Wumpscut has once again outdone himself. This searing album flows through twelve infectious tracks that will cling to your soul and leave you thirsty for more.

Wumpscut - Schadling April 8, 2008 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Almost a true return to form for :wumpscut:, almost. I really wanted to like this CD as I have not found much joy in his past few releases, and I must say, I do like this CD. I think this is the best thing Rudy has made in years, it is almost as if he was tapping into his former self and working on a new Music for a Slaughtering Tribe-esque release, but came up a little short. I think the :wumpscut: brand is nowadays focusing less on the musical aspect and more on the marketing side. The music has thus suffered dramatically. The songs have a bit more intensity and originality to them, a nice mix of German and English lyrics throughout. There are a couple of tracks that lean toward ambience, a few more that tend to be noisy, but I would have to say there really are not any club-type tracks on this CD. Nothing all that really dance worthy, disappointing for sure, more of a stay-at-home-and-listen release. So the CD is pretty good, I can definitely recommend this to :wumpscut: fans, not his best work by any means, but still highly enjoyable.

Another Dud From Wumpscut April 29, 2008 4 out of 9 found this review helpful
The last great cd that Wumpscut released was "Eevil Young Flesh". That was quite a while ago. The material since then has been very inconsistent. "Schadling" finds Rudy at a creative low point. There is absolutely no new ground broken on this album. The material sounds the same as previous releases but is especially dull and boring this time around. There is not a single song on this cd that is memorable. It is truly snooze inducing. I have to say that I think that this will be the last post-"Eevil Young Flesh" release from Wumpscut that I will buy.

Take Skinny Puppy (1983-1988), Death in June and of course the Wumpscut trademark synth and vocal sound and you have Schadling. Best Wumpscut in a decade!
What........??? September 12, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Sorry, it's lame, Wumpscut is lame, terror EBM is lame. Wumpscut used to be exciting....not anymore. It's too repetitive.
Awsome Album August 25, 2008 Wumpscut produces some awsome albums and this is no exception to the rules. The album starts out with good danceable beats, then slowly moves into a basic noise coming out to the most awsome track "voodoo void" which has some of the most impressive violin / back ground beats I've ever heard. I enjoy listening to this album over and over again.
