It's finished by a supple, tan genuine leather strap with crocodile texturing. The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. Mother-of-pearl is the pearlescent material found on the inside of mollusk shells like abalone, oysters, and mussels, which can be scraped off, sliced thin, and applied to all manner of jewelry.

I like the watch since it's easy to read. It was slightly bigger and thicker than I expected. Overall it's a nice watch and Timex has always been durable. The indiglo feature is very hardy especially on an airplane when it's too dark to tell time.

I bought this watch as a Christmas gift for my mom, who wanted a watch with a light brown band. The picture looked like the band was pretty light, but was described as "tan" in the text. When it arrived, I noted that it looked almost exactly the same shade as the picture online. Very pretty and unique watch, especially the face, but I'd call the band more of an ivory color.

Easy to read numbers, Indiglio works great for nighttime display, mother of pearl face lends a note of dressiness, light color leather strap works perfectly with my summer wardrobe. Amazon's price is half the sale price in my metro area. Another happy customer!

The face is a perfect size for a woman's watch, not too big not too small, just right! The outer frame of the watch is very shiny.
The band is identical to what the image on this site shows instead of the description which says it's tan, it's not, like someone else pointed out it's more of a creamy beige color. The face is readable and the mother of pearl background is gorgeous.
If you're looking for a simple elegant gift (for a woman in your life) that looks like you spent a good amount of cash on, then look no further!
**Also, the band isn't very form fitting to some, it'll actually fit a little snug if you happen to have a large wrist. Just an F.Y.I.
**Since this watch has the Indiglo night light, it may work when you first get it and it may not, that's they tricky part. Even if it doesn't you'll still end up with a beautiful watch to wear.

This is my second indiglo watch. The date on the first watch did not roll over correctly. On the second watch the indiglo worked well for the 1st month and then it stopped working.
