Great Training Shoe for 5K Races November 14, 2007 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
I have been running in the ASICS GT 2120s for almost two months. This includes light trail running, track intervals, treadmill, and some grass workouts, totalling around 25-30 miles a week. I have run two 5Ks in these as well. In all contexts, I am pleased with the shoe.
I am a lighter runner with a slight pronation issue. The 2120 provides enough support and flexibility. For my running style, build and foot plant, the shoe wears well. It felt great straight from the box, and I am confident that it will feel fine through the winter.
The one downside is on the bottom. Holes that help provide cushioning an flexibility fill too easily with tiny stones, and are difficult to extract. As a result, the stones join me on each run. The weight is incidental, but it does reduce the effectiveness of the holes. I think better engineering can fix this problem.
Overall, I am pleased with the shoe. I fully recommend the ASICS GT 2120.

Excellent shoe for stability and support. August 6, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I am a beginner runner and sneaker head. My shoes of choice were Nike and New Balance until I started running for the first time in my life. After a couple of weeks my arch area behind the ball of my foot began to hurt. After a couple of days of brisk walk sessions the pain also rolled up onto the top of my foot. At that point I decided to seek out the advice of a professional running shop. I found one locally ( www.bklynrunforyourlife.com ) which helped me with advice and recommended the ASICS GT 2120. Once I laced up the GT 2120 shoes I immediately felt the difference. This is an excellent stability running shoe which is light and just plain feels good. A great shoe for those with fallen arches as I do or require a stability/supportive shoe to run or walk in. I was able to run in these shoes after a few days of resting my injured foot and I felt great. These shoes helped me from giving up my first attempts at running to making me want to run more. Shoes make the difference and for me these certain did. "Waddle on!"
Ran my first marathon in these May 8, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have a couple pairs of the 2100s that I loved. I wanted to get a new pair before I ran my first Marathon (Big Sur CA on 29 Apr). I looked around and saw the newer models and decided to give them a go.
They felt great from the get-go. I ran in them for 2 weeks before the race and had no issues with them.
I liked them so much I bought a spare pair.
They run pretty true to "normal" sizing.

I've always heard and dismissed the true importance of a good pair of running shoes. After running in these I'm convinced that good shoes really do make a world of difference. I absolutely hate running, and do it only because my job forces me to stay in shape. Up until now I've always gone with shoes in the 20-40 dollar range to run. But after trying these shoes out I actually enjoy running a little more and can really feel the difference in my entire leg. I bought these from a sporting goods store and would recommend everyone else to actually put them on and try other brands. I found other shoes that seemed more comfortable while I was standing but I went with the 2120 series because I think they had better support and would be more comfortable over long distances.
Better then previous November 25, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I am using Asics GT 2*** model line about 5 years and I like them more than any other running shoes I ever tried. This model provides even better support and comfort then 2110.
