Special thin Crotch make these shorts very popular with kids. It's surface is smooth, and soft. Children do not like a thick pad between their legs, ours is just right! Kids are so comfortable in these shorts they wear them for many sports and fun in the sun.

I bought a pair of these shorts for my 9 year-old daughter prior to her first mountain biking trip. At first, she did not like the seams, which she described as "itchy," but after a few minutes, she never mentioned that issue again. She loved them otherwise, and wears them now even when she rides with the family on our daily 5-mile road outings. She has mentioned several times that she wishes the pad were thicker. I bought an adult pair of biking shorts for myself when ordering hers, and I agree with her on this point. The pad is not quite thick enough when the roads/trails are really bumpy.

I got it for my girl for the biking tour, delivered on time and quality is good. But she did not want to wear them, saying it's got too thick lining.

Very nice children's bike shorts. I don't know why they shipped the two shorts I ordered separately, though--seems wasteful.
