OK, *IF* the area of interest is covered (a big if!) August 9, 2006 162 out of 164 found this review helpful
So far this has been a disappointment. I assumed this would cover most of the U.S., but it's limited to very large cities and the most popular tourist destinations, about 100 areas in all. Many states have *no* coverage. And coverage is limited to (at most)50 items per category. So even for major cities it lists only 50 hotels, 50 restaurants, etc, and many times far less. The SD card is 128mb, but only 20mb is used for data! You can copy the data from the SD card to the GPS, and there is no activation code, so the data isn't locked to a single GPS. Most expensive 20MB of data I ever bought.

I installed this in my new Garmin Nuvi GPS prior to making a trip to Iowa City, Iowa. Thought that it would provide some information useful about the City and the surrounding area. Found that there is not a single location in the memory that covers anywhere in Iowa. This is advertised as a North American travel guide. Did they move Iowa?
Limited use if you don't live in a highly populated city. The price is not warranted to its usefulness. March 8, 2007 49 out of 49 found this review helpful
Garmin needs to have a chip to up-grade changes in the NUVI 660 in the restaurant section each year. This week I went to three places coded in for Italain, two had changed and one was out of business.

I would rate this as fair. It does not rate or show all of the restaurants and stores nearby as you are walking down a street. It does show many which are more than 1 mile away, which is exactly what you do not want if you are walking. You can locate a store, restaurant, hotel or tourist attraction by name, which is good.
Disappointing November 5, 2006 17 out of 38 found this review helpful
I waited till we got to Ireland to test the device. When I plugged it into the Nuvi 350, all I got were straight lines and no road data or directions. It turns out that the SD card reset the 350 to "off road" directions.
