Great buy for the price April 27, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought these on sale for $40, and anyone who knows anything about Dr. Marten's knows that it's a great price for the quality of shoe. I've been wearing Dr. Marten's since high school uniform days.
These are my replacement work shoes after a pair of $35 shoes from a widely known shoe store crapped out on me after 3 months of having them.
Things that make this shoe better than previous Dr. Martens are the sole and the bottom of the shoe. Previous Dr. Marten's tend to slip rather easily, especially in Minnesota weather. Past shoes had no traction in the snow, slush, and forget walking on ice.
These shoes grip everywhere you walk, which is great. Also, the soles are anti-static, which work great for those in a high-carpet environment.
I give them 5 stars because of the quality and price. The only feature I dislike about the shoes are the seem down the middle of the front toes. Other than that, they fit great (with square toes at the end for us fat-footed people), great support, and very comfortable to wear. If you can get past the seem down the front of the shoe, you'll probably like them too.
