I ordered the Deeka in pewter. Pewter is between gray and silver, not too shiny that you can't wear it to work; it adds a little kick to workday outfit in boring gray or navy or black. The hint of shine also works for evening wear.
The design is true to picture. The cutout design is beautiful and unique. The overall design is modern and stylish with the bar down the top of the vamp and the angled heel. Notice the detail of cross stitching on the bottom-side corner of the heel.
I had previously tried it on in the store and thought it ran half a size large. This is because there was a gap between the vamp and the top of my foot when I first tried it on. So I made the mistake of ordering half a size smaller than my usual size. But after wearing it, the fit improved and the gap dissipated. So I would say it's true to size after you wear it a few days.
The rubber bottom, thick foam insole and arch support make it very comfortable if you're on your feet a lot. You can also think of it as a pretty evening shoe that you can wear without hurting your feet. The top is very soft. No part of the shoe rubs or chafes.
One negative is that the color came off inside the shoe and stained my toes. Given that this is a mule and you would want to easily slip it on and off, this is a big drawback. I mean you can't take the shoes off if you have stained toes!
