Needs Some Work.... November 10, 2008 11 out of 19 found this review helpful
I have a Samsung LN52A650 LCD television intended for use with this wireless adapter. When I plugged it in the TV found it and asked if I wanted to connect to a network. Everything went fine until I tried to input the pass phrase for my wireless network. Problem number one, there is no way that I could find to type spaces between the words in my pass phrase. Second problem, the field only accepts 26 characters and my phrase is a bit longer than that. Future firmware updates definitely need to address this issue.

I have the LN52A750 flavor and I just received this adapter last night in the mail, nice little surprise gift. Anyway, I installed it into the side of the TV and it recognized it immediately. I went thru the on-screen menu and there were no hitches. This does not ask you for a pass phrase, it's your WEP key it's looking for you to enter. You enter the numbers via the numeric pad on the remote and enter the letters via the on-screen selection A-E or A-F, I believe. You use the wheel on the remote to switch between letters, no spaces. After I entered my WEP key, as you do with any wireless device connecting to your router, this item worked as it was intended to do, nicely.

Don't get me wrong as the Samsung LCD's are the BEST!! Unfortunately this Linkstick was completely useless and a waste of $35. The little bit that it does can be done easily on your computer. Keep your money!
