Product Description
Famed Charles Manson prosecutor and three time #1 New York Times bestselling author Vincent Bugliosi has written the most powerful, explosive, and thought-provoking book of his storied career.

In The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder, Bugliosi presents a tight, meticulously researched legal case that puts George W. Bush on trial in an American courtroom for the murder of nearly 4,000 American soldiers fighting the war in Iraq. Bugliosi sets forth the legal architecture and incontrovertible evidence that President Bush took this nation to war in Iraq under false pretenses?a war that has not only caused the deaths of American soldiers but also over 100,000 innocent Iraqi men, women, and children; cost the United States over one trillion dollars thus far with no end in sight; and alienated many American allies in the Western world.

As a prosecutor who is dedicated to seeking justice, Bugliosi, in his inimitable style, delivers a non-partisan argument, free from party lines and instead based upon hard facts and pure objectivity.

A searing indictment of the President and his administration, The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder also outlines a legally credible pathway to holding our highest government officials accountable for their actions, thereby creating a framework for future occupants of the oval office.

Vincent Bugliosi calls for the United States of America to return to the great nation it once was and can be again. He believes the first step to achieving this goal is to bring those responsible for the war in Iraq to justice.

5 out of 5 stars Truth from a Great Legal Mind   May 25, 2008

I had seen a pre-published version of this book and will now be buying it, as anyone with a sense of morality, ethics or patriotism MUST support its message, its conclusion and its brave author. I have all of Bugliosi's books, as he's one of the very few non-cowards writing in America today. He makes his case here, and to any rational mind (as opposed to the majority of the U.S. decision makers who pander to the marketplace of uninformed emotionalism), his conclusion is the only one possible or permissible in any civilized society -- which we in the U.S.A. (I don't say America, as Canada and the south Americas are generally more informed than we are on political matters), are every day becoming less qualified to call ourselves. This is an amazing book, full of unemotional wisdom, truth and common sense, and cannot be ignored by anyone interested in or passionate about the U.S. government.

5 out of 5 stars The Imperial President Has No Clothes   May 30, 2008

Vincent Bugliosi has written one of the most important books of 2008, clearly laying out the case against George Bush for lying our country into an illegal war and occupation of Iraq, and for deceiving the American people by creating the erroneous deception of linking Iraq to Al-Qaeda and the events of 9/11. There is no defense of the indefensible, and what George Bush and his co-conspirators have done to America is treasonous. May all Americans read this book, call for Bush, Cheney and Rice to be brought to justice, and help restore America's integrity and standing in the world. To do otherwise would be criminal. Thank you Vincent Bugliosi for writing this book.

I just finished listening to the audio version of this book. While many of the facts did not come as "news", to hear everything together, in one concise story, makes for a very shocking, depressing experience, if a necessary one.
Read or Listen to the book. You can even double check the facts, and make up your own mind.
What I had not realized before is the moral dimension of Bush's responsibility as an individual, not only as president of the United States.

3 out of 5 stars Coming in 2009?   May 29, 2008

The book begins with Bugliosi's assertion that Bush has committed the most serious crime in American history - deliberately taking this country to war in Iraq under false pretenses. That crime is augmented by failing to provide troops with sufficient IED-strengthened vehicles and body armor, underfunding the military medical system (especially back in the U.S.), and short-changing troops on pay. Bugliosi is further angered by Bush's public insensitivity to military losses (eg, "giving up golf during the war," "talking about his little owie when visiting disabled veterans"), lack of curiosity, and repeated displays of stupidity (eg. an ignorance of geography that led to telling the Chinese premier during a St. Petersburg meeting that the premier was lucky to be "close to home" (actually an 8-hour flight - about the same as Bush's).

Bugliosi believes Bush deserves much more than impeachment and removal from office. He goes on to state that it is not necessary that Bush personally participated - vicarious liability arises from his leading a conspiracy (aka Charles Manson). In addition, Bush acted under reckless and wanton disregard for the consequences, and did so under false pretenses. However, he could be prosecuted only after leaving office.

The false pretenses attach to two issues - that Hussein did not present an "imminent" threat as implied, and Iraq was not working with Al Qaeda.

Is this all an academic exercise? I think not - Bugliosi also shows that every state has had soldiers killed in Iraq, thus providing an opportunity for 50 Attorneys General and any number of county prosecutors.

Finally, Bugliosi contends that the execution of the Iraq war couldn't have been worse - the previously referenced lack of planning and equipment, being caught totally flat-footed on 9/11, ignoring the Palestinian issue throughout his administration, opposing the 9/11 Commission's creation and impeding its work, and allowing Bin Laden to escape into Pakistan.

Bugliosi's credibility as a prosecutor is exemplary. Maybe he'll get the opportunity to prosecute Bush et al in 2009.

5 out of 5 stars Bugs the Patriot- does it again!   May 30, 2008

I have always admired 'Bugs'.He is undoubtably the most respected prosecuting attorney in U.S. history. This takes alot of courage to write, and even more so is the ballsy title of the book. Bugliosi is the epitome of the true ultimate Patriot - which is in contrast to the so called Patriots under the guise of the Republican Conservatives (a majority of them), who are narrow minded punks with no common sense at all (Hannity's,O'Reilly's,and rest of the Fox News regimne).

Bugs refers to American's as being stupid quite often in the book. But this is his honest emotions shining thru.To speak as one would think to himself -- in other words -- we get to see Bug's true emotions worn right on his sleeve, right where we want to see them.Is this the same American people who voted this President into office twice? he asks. This is the same question that the true Patriotic American's ask.How could of this happened? Why could the downspiral of America NOT be stopped and why do we still see it going down?

This is the same America that has allowed a President to commit crime after crime and lies after lies - because the American citizen's, congressmen & women, and our media let him do it.America has let him get away with everything and still do.Why? And when I refer to "we" and "us", I am speaking to you people who are reading these reviews and who read or will read Bug's book.I am speaking about Vince and myself and all of us. We see in our daily lives the bullying "you aint American if you don't support Bush", when instead you should see 100% of the American people out there revolting against this man and his cronies.
And by doing so, we the people should be pushing for despictable President to be brought to justice.Vince has done it for us, but I already can see the stonewalling of this book.Vince himself said in a recent interview on the Alex Jones radio show (do a search on youtube.com
and put in Vincent Bugliosi Alex Jones Bush Crimes)that for the first time ever that after he's released a book that all the major networks refused to invite him on their shows to promote the book.Once again, Fascism in America continues to rise.

This is a country that HAS lost it's way.A country in deep, deep, grave trouble. As Bug's ages, he doesn't want to go out this way.He doesn't want to see the America he grew up in continually get destroyed by this President and it's administration & by future administrations. As in Mike Ruppert's great book, Bugliosi fears that America as crossed the rubicon. And that's scary.
