All 25 stories in Spooky Texas are highly entertaining. The stories are about cowboys, oil rigs, horses, the Gulf of Mexico and other themes that remind one of Texas. Among my favorites are "The Letter", a story about Galveston during a hurricane. "Remember", is about the Alamo during Texas fight for independence. "Eternal Roundup", is about ghost cattle and ghost riders chasing each other across the sky during thunderstorms. For younger readers the following stories may be of interest, "On the Front Deck" and "Lost and Found"
Teenagers who want more excitement can read "No Trespassing" and "White Wolf". There are stories for all ages to be enjoyed while sitting around a campfire. Overall this is a very good book.
