Product Description
With its beautifully embossed pages, shiny spot laminations that really pop, and a fun invitation to a dragon hunt, this one-of-a-kind book feels like magic, and looks great under the Christmas tree too. Look inside this amazing picture book and feel the embossed pages. Can you see and touch the dragon? Can you find lots and lots of dragons? They’re everywhere! That’s because Mr. Jones is simply mad about the creatures. He carves them out of wood and he tells thrilling stories about them. But he’s never seen a real dragon, so he and his grandson George have set sail in search of one. Come along and help, using your sharp sense of sight and sensitive fingers to navigate through the pictures. But remember: to discover a really, truly fire-breathing dragon, you have to hunt high and low and always, always believe hard enough. A story kids will joyously read over and over again.

The perfect gift November 6, 2004 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this book for a special six year old in my life. He hasn't opened it yet, so I can't tell you what he thinks, but I'm very impressed with it. The story is entertaining and amusing, the illustrations are lovely, and even as a 33 year old adult, I had great fun trying to find all 76 dragons hidden in the artwork. What's more, the production values of this book are outstanding. The heavyweight pages are embossed and spot-varnished, and the entire book feels hefty and substantial in your hand. All in all, a great choice for a gift book.
Great Book for Parents and Children! February 18, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My 2 1/2 yr old daughter received this book for Christmas from her Grandma and Grandpa--she LOVES it! She pulls it out almost daily for me to read to her and "find the dragons"! This book is great for cuddle time as you both search for all the hidden dragons and feel the bumpy, embossed pages! My daughter thinks George's silly Grandpa is hilarious! I highly recommend this book--for kids and adults!
A delight for dragon hunters June 20, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
You will love the embossed pictures on each page of this book; they make you want to run your fingers over them. The illustrations are just beautiful and full of little surprises; I particularly like the dragon's eye disguised as the full moon. The story is told in the third person and focuses on 'little George' with side characters 'Grandfather' and 'Meg' as well as the ever present but never seen dragons. This is a book suitable for children 5 - 10 years old.
Excellent book! January 4, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
As a special education teacher and an avid dragon collector, this children's book appealed to me from the moment I laid eyes on it. The book allows readers to use three of their senses, sight, sound and touch! The embossed pages are beautifully illustrated and allow readers to run their hands over the pages to FEEL all of the dragons pictured while listening to the book being read aloud. The story is enchanting. As a matter of fact, this is my second copy of the book. I had to give the first one to my 2+ year old nephew because he wants to read it over and over again. My only wish is that more books would be written and published with such imaginative and embossed illustrations.
Amazing tale of Dragons! September 5, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 3 1/2 yr old grandson loves this book. He likes to look for the faces of the dragons on the pages as I read to him. The illustrations are excellent and the story is well written. As a grandparent I rate this book highly.
