Product Description
Firestar's three grandchildren have learned of the powerful prophecy that foretells their destinies, and the responsibility of deciding the Clans' future weighs heavily on the three apprentices. But each secretly yearns for power: Lionpaw dreams of being undefeatable in battle, while Hollypaw longs to be a great leader and Jaypaw knows only he can see the true past and future for them all. Their strengths are tested when ThunderClan is suddenly attacked—and all four Clans are thrown into a battle unlike any the cats have ever seen. Then a dark shadow falls across the forest, and a mysterious stranger warns the Clans of more trouble to come. For the first time, it appears that StarClan does not hold the answers the cats need. All of a sudden, the warrior code is being tested. A crisis of faith threatens to tear the four Clans apart and destroy what the cats have built their lives upon. . . .

Amazing... September 4, 2008 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
This book is officially my favorite Warrior Cats book now. It's a far cry from the other PO3 books, as there is more action, the three begin to do more with their powers, and more is revealed than ever before. This series is obviously the most mysterious of all the three series, and this book both unlocks and spins mysteries right and left. A new character is introduced, Sol, the mysterious (there's that word again!) newcomer who begins to turn ShadowClan away from the lake and StarClan. The three contemplate and act on their powers like never before, Lionpaw with his strength in battle and Jaypaw with his power to step into other cats' minds. Hollypaw has no clear, defined power yet, but she will come. Or rather, i should say Hollyleaf. And Lionblaze. This book is well worth the purchase, and if you're feeling unsure after the last three books, this one will definitely change your mind.
Definitely the Best Thus Far... September 7, 2008 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
The review title says it all: this is BY FAR the best book thus far in The Power of Three. For all those of you who were unsure of the series, well... read this book- it's bound to change your mind. The Power of Three is turning out to be quite the mystery- way more so than the original series or The New Prophecy. In Eclipse, as some questions are answered, even more are asked, and you're left wondering and waiting for the next book. The Three delve deeper into the prophecy and what it means for them and for the Clans. Jaypaw's powers to walk in the dreams and thoughts of others deepen, as does Lionpaw's power of strength in battle. And, speaking of battles, if one of the things you didn't like about the other three books in this series were their lack of action, you're in for a pleasant surprise. Three words: Three Chapter Battle. Hollpaw is the only one with no clear ability yet, though her deep-set faith in the warrior code shows promise. And speaking of the warrior code... What will happen when the arrival of a mysterious stranger, Sol, who made a prediction even StarClan could not make, arrives? He knows of the prophecy- will he help the Three? Or will his arrival spell the end of the old ways? What will happen when ShadowClan forsakes their warrior ancestors? So many questions, no clear answer. What IS clear is that Eclipse was a book definitely worth the read. And it'll keep you longing for the sequel.
Awesomest Series of all the Awesomest Series September 7, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Well this is one of my favorite Warriors books ever! I mean when a random cat comes and says that darkness is coming, you know it's going to be a super special awesome book! I love how there's a huge battle that's probably just as long as the battle with Bloodclan. I also like how the book gets very dark and creepy. So yeah this book and Firestar's Quest are probably my favorite books.
=O <-- shocked amazed insanely happy smiley September 7, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
WOW. there's not much more to say! reedfrost and breezestar just said it all!!!DEFINATELY the best in the series yet. Lionpaw (or should i say Lionblaze) becomes increasingly ahh.....how do i put this.....a dark sider, under the influence of Grampa Tigerstar. AMAZINGAMAZINGAMAZING and that doesn't even BEGIN to sum it up! i realize that this isn't that descriptive of a review, but im too lazy too summarize the book. two points: 1. There's an AWESOME battle 2. If you had ANY doubts because the last book (Outcast) wasn't all that it was hoped to be, they shall be /completely/ washed away and forgotten by eclipse. OK, that's it!
A little light in the page. September 8, 2008 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
I was not as pleased with this book as every other reviewer seems to be. It took a total of 6 hours to read. Don't get me wrong, I liked it but my anticipation of it must have let me down. The first three books in the PO3 series rocked so I was really looking forward #4 and have had it on preorder for 2 months. Reflecting back to the NP series, Book 4 was pretty light too. Maybe, (like NP #5) PO3 Long shadows (#5) will be fantastic. I have it on preorder as well and keep looking for PO3 # 6??.
