Come on board and let the thrills begin: all it takes is a turn of the page and the story continues. Wide-eyed youngsters won’t want to miss the boat as it finally sets sail for Treasure Island, where the pirates have buried their bounty. Then Jim overhears the ship’s cook, Long John Silver, reveal that he’s really a pirate in disguise. Every single second is exciting.

A great introductionJune 22, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Not only do my grandsons aged 5 and 7 love the adventure in this retelling of Stevensons' classic, the illustrations are delightful. We can't wait for more installments. I believe the original writing is always the best, but these simple tellings serve as a great beginning to the real thing. Besides, they can read them themselves.
