Product Description It's Coke Pharris' job to save bull riders from bulls, and he takes his work very seriously. Which is why he's devastated when one of his favorite riders gets hurt, and he's determined to help the young man ride again. Dillon Walsh is the arena entertainer for the bull riding tour, and he wants to help. He also wants Coke, has been admiring the man for a long time. He hasn't made a move on Coke for fear of messing up their friendship, but when he finds out Coke might feel the same way, Dillon has to try to win Coke over. Coke thinks he's too old for Dillon, too beat up and scarred, but he can't resist when Dillon finally makes a play for him. Dillon is like a wet dream for Coke, and the two of them have a great time getting to know each other better, at least until the danger of their job threatens to come between them. Will Dillon and Coke be able to help their friend and weather the problems that blow their way?

The tough cowboy and his clown! A wonderful follow-up! October 1, 2008 This is the second in the Roughstock series and it is just as engaging, fun, warm and heartfelt as the first one, if not better. I love Coke's character from the first book and am glad Tortuga has given this tough, caring and scarred cowboy his own story. In this second volume, Tortuga focus on the unknown tough cowboys who save glamorous rodeo riders from angry bulls, at the expense of their own lives. Coke is such a man. He loves Jason like a son or younger brother, having worshipped Jason's famous dad. Since Jason was hurt in the first book, Coke has never forgiven himself.
In the second story Coke is back in the rodeo, working hard to save cowboys' asses, the scenes are well told, realistic and exciting, at times even painful to read as these cowboys are mauled by the pissed-off bulls. Tortuga also gives us Dillon, an endearing rodeo clown with brains, who have been eyeing the older Coke for a long time. Their romance is sweet and very sexy, the sex light hearted and hot. The supporting cast of Rodeo cowboys are a fun lot.
Tortuga's story is very enjoyable as these tough cowboys who save lives and the clowns who entertain between precarious scenes take center stage, men who are mostly overlooked in rodeo stories. Homophobia is virtually non existing as this thghtly knitted brotherhood of men look out for each other.
Jason is of course not forgotten as Coke and his men plan for his eventual comeback. Jason and Andy do feature later in this second book, their intrusion into Coke's love live a fun read. A great follow-up with wonderful characters. More please.
