Product Description
Success is simple, and scientifically reproducible, if you know the 5 Laws

Simpleology proves that success and happiness are easier to achieve than most people think they are. In fact, people can almost guarantee their own success simply by following a few simple rules. These "5 Laws of Simpleology" aren't new; they've been around forever. Throughout history, these 5 laws have helped the world's greatest minds amass fortunes and forge new paths. But until now, no one has committed them to paper in so simple and straightforward a style as Mark Joyner has here. Applicable to any challenge or goal and irrefutably commonsense, these 5 laws form the basis for almost any successful person or endeavor. Simpleology explains the 5 laws in detail and shows readers how to apply them to every aspect of their lives.

Mark Joyner (Auckland, New Zealand) is a leading authority on Internet marketing. The former CEO of Aesop Marketing Corp., he is the author of four previous books, including The Irresistible Offer (0-471-73894-8) and The Great Formula (0-471-77823-0), both from Wiley.

5 out of 5 stars This book does what the self help industry has tried to do for 100 years   March 30, 2007

Simpleology is a book that will alternatively have you scratching your head and thinking and then blowing your mind with some of the most insightful ideas on success you'll ever hear.

The author helps you draw a very clear path from where you are to what you want, not what you think you should want, but what you really want. He makes getting it simple, efficient and predictable.

The chapters on defective mental hardware are some of the most sound thinking and well described examples of how we defeat ourselves. Those are followed by the final chapters which give you the programming language you need to easily and completely create your future and have all the things that you really want.

At the end of the book you'll find yourself scratching your head again and wondering, how was I hoodwinked so easily for all those years.

But the book explains that too.

This is a must read if you are a seeker, entrepreneur, parent, thinker or skeptic.

I wasn't able to put it down and I don't think you will either.

5 out of 5 stars Refreshing and Authentic   March 29, 2007

Have you had it with wide-eyed brain-free promises? Just as fed up with smug, know-it-all negativity that says it can't be done? If that's you, then this is a good book to read. Mark Joyner has "been there and done that," wherever there might happen to be in your imagination and whatever that might be in your requisite list of qualifications to give advice. This is not a feel-good, anything's-possible, hot-air-blue-sky-and-sunshine type of book. It is reality based, and yet it provides real, doable techniques and processes that can help you systematically work your way to just about any goal you desire. There's a big difference between what this book has to say and the Judy Garland method -- you know, tap your heels together, close your eyes and say "There's no place like home." Simpleology is the most clearheaded work on success I have ever read.

1 out of 5 stars Poor Book   May 16, 2007

This book was a total misrepresentation from the sales letter. The sales letter describes a system where you could simplify your life and goals. The book spent 5% of the time on this topic and mostly was personal meaningless retoric of the authors opinion on politics and morality. This book was a total waste of money and stupid. Don't waste your time and money on this one.

5 out of 5 stars Well Worth A Read   April 9, 2007

I thought this was a great book, and I really like Mark's style of writing. He shows himself to be a normal person with quirks and rants now and then. The book is formatted in an easy to read fashion, and even if you do not continue with the free course he offers (he does charge for more advanced courses if you decide to do them), the book will at least show you how easily we all can be manipulated and why we sometimes don't back down even when we know we are wrong. Considering the amount of tips in this book, and the humorous aspects of it, I think it is a great book. Does he try to sell you additional items after offering you the free course? Sure he does. Is that wrong? Not in my opinion. If you are interested you can buy it. If not, was it really a waste of your time to take 2 seconds to say "No Thanks..."? Just read the book and decide for yourself. That's my advice.

5 out of 5 stars Upgrade your mental operating system...   March 27, 2007

First off, if you have not signed up for Mark's free Simpleology program, you really should do so. In my opinion, it is the best time management system ever invented, and with some of the great tools included such as WebCockpit, it is very easy to integrate into your life...just 15 minutes invested per day.

Now, if you are under the impression that this book is just a long advertisement for the program, please set that myth to rest. You will find a lot of value in this book whether or not you're currently using the program.

Mark has a keen understanding of psychology and has figured out how to break down the barriers that people have that prevent them from achieving their goals. While his program is quite effective in and of itself, the book really delves down much more deeply into the subject matter to illustrate scenarios that hold people back from reaching their dreams.

The most powerful of these examples are language barriers. Whether you know it or not, other people in your life are influencing you through their use of language. Mark shows you how to dissect what people are really saying to you, so that you don't get caught up in the mental mind traps and drama that plague most people.

This valuable information (that I've never seen or heard about anywhere else) is vitally essential to success. You must be able to clearly separate your own belief system from the belief systems imposed upon you by others to really get what you want out of life.

Somehow, Mark is able to take this incredibly complicated subject matter and make it simple and in plain english to offer and incredibly clear view of how people interact with each other, and how you can protect yourself from these subtle manipulation tactics.

Additionally, MJ goes into great detail about improving your belief system to be more in alignment with your goals. Most people live life trying to cater to other's expectations of them because they don't know any better. But if you really want to achieve in life, and make your own way, Mark shows you how to "re-program" your mind to live life on your own terms.

The best part is that Mark has gone to great effort to develop a system based on his own scientific analysis and principles to create something unique and wholly beneficial.

This is not a re-hash of NLP, thinking positive, law of attraction, etc. Mark cuts past the wishful thinking and new-age mumbo-jumbo to gives you real, scientific tools to genuinely pursue your goals from a fully realistic standpoint.

Simply put, you should read this book.
