An Impressive Work May 11, 2007

Stephen Skinner has truly provided a great service for magicians with the publication of this monumental opus. No longer will practitioners of the Art have to be content with Crowley's problematic 777, as its contents have been revised, expanded and (where applicable) corrected by Skinner, and laid out in a format that's actually more accessable and easier to read. Over half of this massive tome is correspondence charts, the rest of the book filled with commentary.
The kabbalah also gets its due, with the lesser known Luriatic diagram receiving recognition for it's "intellectual" layout in comparison to the more "popular" style laid out by Mathers for the Golden Dawn. Skinner provides compelling reasons for why the Luriatic version seems more "correct". Sephirah and path numbers are, of course, also provided where correspondences to them occur.
All in all, this book will be used by practitioners for years to come and will make a handy addition to any occult library.

As the book says on its cover, it is intended to be a resource similar to Crowley's 777. However, this book takes that format to a 'new level.' It is safe to say that, if you are a magickian of any level, you will find useful information in these pages. I was surprised to find so many correspondences for Kabbalah, for Alchemy, for the Tarot, and for Angelic (and Demonic) magick.
The book is laid out in logical, alphabetically arranged tables for just about every subject a magickian needs. The correspondences are based on the '32 Path' layout used in 777, but the resemblance to that work ends there. The author has done an incredible amount of research so you won't have to. Just look up the subject and you will find a treasure-trove of useful information.
You may not know it, but you need this resource. You won't be sorry you bought it !

This book, The Complete Magician's Tables, is like Liber 777 on steroids. This is great to have in a single reference book, and its' contents combine the tables previously available with ones that are not so easily found. What I find useful about this book is its' organization, where correspondences are easy to find, and this ultimately helps by allowing me to get back to work quickly.
In fact, this book, combined with the first three volumes of the 'Sourceworks of Ceremonial Magick' series, are all books that I have found highly informative AND useful.
I also give this book 'The Complete Magician's Tables' my highest recommendation, thus, the five stars of this review ...

Stephen Skinner has heard the prayers of generations of students of the occult and has graciously brought to earth the most comprehensive and user-friendly magical reference book ever compiled. Oh, to have had this book in my 20s. Meticulously researched and elegantly organized, it transcends and replaces at least 5 books in my library including Crowley's venerable 777. My highest possible recommendation.
