This Stanley London miniature compass in a handsome sterling silver locket is the perfect gift. It features a highly polished rose on its hinged lid, which opens to reveal a 5/8 inch (16 mm) diameter working compass. This fine compass locket weighs 0.3 ounces (8.5 grams), measures 11/16 inches (18 mm) in diameter and is 3/8 inch (9.5 mm) thick. It is stamped "925" to designate the quality sterling silver content (92.5% pure silver). This locket comes in a high quality hinged gift box.

I've really enjoyed this compass and it has been a wonderful conversation starter. I bought this for myself along with a silver box chain by Stanley London. It is feminine, delicate and yet sturdy enough for every day wear. It is not "trinket looking" or too obtrusive but rather a well crafted piece of jewelry. There is just something symbolic about compasses, perhaps it is the idea of centering yourself and of finding your way through the world. I've truly enjoyed this necklace and would highly recommend it.

This was a gift to myself; it has a very special and very symbolic meaning to me. I don't think I'd enjoy it so much if it weren't crafted sooo finely! It's exquisite, and the quality and detail is impeccable! I love that it can be engraved too! This is gorgeous!

The compass was smaller than I expected, but that didn't detract from its beauty. If anything, it added a delicate aspect that a large, clunky thing would have missed. I LOVE this!

I was very pleased with the lockets (I purchased two for gifts). It took me a few moments to figure out how to open the locket, but once I figured that out, no problem. They arrived in a timely manner. I am a very satisfied customer!
Beautiful Functional Jewelry June 10, 2008
I got this as a Mother's Day gift to "always be able to find my way back to my boys." This is a beautiful piece of work with an additional value of functionality. It is about the same height as a stack of 6 pennies. It is simple and unique without looking like a junk charm. My only complaint is that it does not come with a chain, but, c'est la vie.
Of all the pendants I've owned -- I honestly think I like this the best.
