pretty decent product. September 5, 2006 43 out of 46 found this review helpful
I purchased the mangadebut because i wanted to dabble in tones and inking (which I usually never do, usually I just scan in the sketch and then darken it with a photo editing.) I came to find out that using lines and erasing the sketch makes for a much more clean finished product. Of course, you could acomplish this with MS Paint if you really wanted to. One of the main (and only, in my opinion) advantages to this program is the amazingly vast variations of tones available to make your art more interesting. that alone makes it worth the 50 dollars you put into it.
One downside is that this program, because of it's many tones, uses and requires quite a bit of space. When I uploaded it on my laptop,it slowed down significantly. So much so that now I load it when I want to finish a nice drawing and the delete it from the computer again! XD
overall it deserves about 3-4 stars. ^.^
much faster & easier than other programs October 11, 2006 39 out of 43 found this review helpful
wow, this really made a difference in my ability to create professional-looking comics. i have a graphics tablet and the drawing feel is really good. i think my favorite feature is the tool for making Panels. Plus the tool for doing special effects lines, which is pretty sweet.
i just draw comics for fun, and for this price it is totally worth it. Manga Studio is perfect for publishing a webcomic or adding effects to existing drawings.
I would definitely recommend this software if you like to draw comics or manga.

This is a simple drawing program, much like Paint. Don't be mislead by the colored picture on the cover, it only does black and white. And it has no help in drawing Manga figures. And it is a stripped-down program, at that. The documentation is for the full program, so you can't do much of what you read in the manual and help files. Save your money, this program isn't worth buying.
The Manga Edition Of Photoshop. January 21, 2007 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
This software is basically photoshop, except you can add panels. It has most of the same features...it is very useful to artists. However, it is not very 'user-friendly'. When you want to scan in a drawing, it needs to be scanned in as a certain type of scan, of else it won't work. It is also quite hard to use the features. After you learn to use it, it's a lot better, but it would be TONS better if it would let you scan easier.
I love it May 10, 2007 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I really like this product. If you draw any sort of comics it's great. You can jump right in and draw, create panels, and worry about all teh advanced stuff later. My 10 year old pastes drawings that he scans into it,creates panels and then touches up and adds to those drawings with the tools included. A great deal of creative fun, for less than the price of a PS3 or X-Box game.
