Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Product Description
Sleek and modern in handsome brushed titanium, this small rectangular money clip provides a stylish option for carrying bills and credit cards. Its simple hinged closure holds bills securely and snaps open easily for instant access. Crafted from 99% commercially-pure gray titanium, the money clip has a brushed outer surface with a distinctive rich gray tone and a contrasting polished interior. It's exceptionally lightweight, yet its rich sheen gives it a substantial, expensive look. An excellent and fashionable alternative to a bulky wallet, this handsome money clip makes a perfect gift for the style-conscious man.

Gray titanium is an exotic-looking metal with exceptional qualities that make it particularly suitable for use in jewelry. It has the impressive durability and strength of steel, yet it is remarkably lightweight--only slightly heavier than aluminum. Titanium is corrosion and scratch resistant and will not react to salt water, sunlight, or any body or common chemistry. Those with metal sensitivities will appreciate the fact that titanium is completely hypoallergenic. Gray titanium is also perfectly suitable for engraving.

2 out of 5 stars Pretty disappointed...   December 31, 2005

The package consisted of a small box and a little jewelry pouch. The packaging was fine but when I pulled out the money clip, it looked rather cheap. Rather like the workmanship of an amateur metal shop student. There is uneveness in the metal, especially near the bend lines and the brushed exterior isn't good enough to cover it up.

Also, if you open an close the money clip without any cash or something to clip inside, it will scrape the other side of the clip leaving scratch marks on the other side. This was apprently the first time I opened it up and heard the scraping.

As far as functionality, it seems to work ok (though this is only after 1 day of use). After clipping a stack of 5 credit cards, it kinda stretched it out and it could no longer securely hold a folded set of 4 dollar bills.

I paid $25 for this clip and in my opinion that's way over priced. If you want something elegant, I'd recommend shelling out more money for something better cause the workmanship and quality of the finish really drags this down.

I'd return it but I don't wanna have to deal with the shipping and handling.

3 out of 5 stars Item as described - does what it is supposed to do   January 8, 2006

I paid $25 for this money clip and it is exactly what it was described to be - a lightweight, titanium - money clip. I have been using it for approximately two weeks and have had no problems. The clip securely holds my five credit cards along with several folded bills. I was a bit disappointed in the weight of the clip, as it is much more lightweight than I thought it would be. I keep reminding myself that titanium is lighter than steel and just as strong, I just still have yet to adjust to the lightness. I tend to equate lightweight to 'not capable'...and this is not the case here. It is nothing fancy and is a very plain-looking. My biggest gripe is that I find myself digging my nail into the mechanism to open the clip, and that could be annoying over time.

4 out of 5 stars score one for the money clip   March 7, 2007

In locker rooms and office corridors across this nations, a battle rages for the souls of men. Perhaps only the fratricidal dispute between boxers and briefs has more violently bloodied the masculine nose of our generation than this battle. Yet the jury remains out: wallet or money clip, what'll it be?

Lives and careers are savaged by a choice of one over the other, yet the passion that drives guys in the direction of the traditional leather wallet or - alternatively - to the minimalist money clip continues unabated.

The Titanium Money Clip scores a victory for the latter. Small, lightweight, attractive, it cleans a hip pocket out, straightens the hang of the trouser, and facilitates the quick snatch of a bill when the wallet guys are still sorting through receipts they carelessly shoved in with their banknotes.

The only complaint regarding this product is that it requires five or six bills, minimum, before it has a sufficient wad to clasp firmly.

Other than that ... well ... I can't even remember where I tossed my wallet.

1 out of 5 stars Broke!   November 10, 2006

I liked this clip pretty well at first. Unlike most I liked the lightness of the titanium, I usually have more then enough things in my pocket, so the lack of something else weighing me down was refreshing. However, one day I emptied the clip of all its contents before I was able to go to the bank so it sat in my pocket empty. When I pulled it out again it was in two pieces. The pin in the hinge broke for no apparent reason. I haven't looked into having it fixed or replaced yet but I bearly had it a couple weeks.

2 out of 5 stars Titanium Money Clip   January 3, 2006

I purchased the Titanium Money Clip as a Christmas gift for my husband. Upon presenting the money clip we were both disappointed in the quality. The clip did not appear to be very durable and we do not think that it will stand up to multiple uses over time.
