Amazon.com Product Description Casio's DBC310-1 men's databank watch is ideal for busy people who love the convenience of having telephone numbers and other essential data right at their fingertips. The watch lets you store 300 pages of either Telememo (names, telephone numbers) or Schedule-memo (messages, months, days, times) data with up to 8 digits and 12 numerals per page. A built-in keypad facilitates data entry, and its EEPROM (electrically erasable programmable read-only memory) retains your data even when the battery goes dead. So don't worry: you'll never have to retype it all. Your eyes will like the DBC310-1's electro-luminescent backlight with afterglow, making it easy to read anywhere, anytime. View time in either 12- or 24-hour formats. The piece is water-resistant, and it offers a stopwatch with readings down to .01 seconds. It's accurate within +/- 30 seconds per month, and the supplied battery should last you about 2 years. Other features include a daily alarm, a countdown alarm, hourly time signals, and an auto-calendar feature (preprogrammed to the year 2094). What's in the Box Watch, battery, instruction manual, and warranty information
Product Description Before the Casio DataBank Series debuted, it was thought that a watch should indicate the time of day, and nothing more. The DataBank DBC310-1 tells you what time it is, to be sure, but also keeps track of where you need to be and when--and who you'll meet when you get there. This handsome, water resistant chronometer/scheduler features EEPROM memory protection and electro-luminescent backlighting. Measuring capacity - 23 - 59'59 - 99 World time 24 time zones, city code display Daylight savings time on/off 8-digit calculator 8-digit arithmetic function (four basics, constants, memory calculations) Countdown alarm Daily alarm Hourly time signal Auto-calendar (pre-programmed to the year 2094) 12/24-hour formats Low power indicator Accuracy - +/- 15 seconds per month Battery life - approximately 2 years on CR2016

Five stars for functionality but one star for weak body July 24, 2004 35 out of 36 found this review helpful
I have been buying these watches because you can enter appointments into the watch's memory using its keyboard rather than having to rely on a PC-based interface. The watch also has stopwatch and timer functions that I like. Other watches seem to lack this particular functionality. They rely on PC's to do the input which is inconvenient when you don't have a PC around. Five stars for functionaliy. Now to the problem. The body is weak. Typically the part where the pin holding the wrist strap is anchored to breaks off after about two years because the body is plastic. The gasket keeping the watch somewhat water-resistant distends. I wish they'd put this watch in a G-shock body. One star for robustnes. Overall 3 stars.
Good product - with two exceptions May 8, 2005 27 out of 28 found this review helpful
I have had three of these watches in the past few years. They function well, do what they'e supposed to do, and are very helpful. However, the printed alphabetic characters underneath each button will wear off in about 18 months, after which you haved to memorize which button corresponds to which alpahbet character. Not as hard as you might think, but irritating. Secondly, the watch case pin holes where the watch band pin attaches the band to the case will tend to erode or pull out over time. I've had to replace one perfectly good watch because I couldn't get a replacement band to attach.
Great Organizer! February 12, 2005 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
I bought this for my husband who has had the the same one for about 10 years. His finally stopped keeping a charge and he lost all his data. Figured it was time for a new one. He uses the watch as his calendar and date organizer. He puts all his appointments into the watch. The watch front shows the whole week as little boxes along the top and little ovals will appear in the boxes if you have set an appointment for that day. He uses it daily and also keeps notes on his watch. The only problem he has had is the watch is plastic and the black paint will wear off. The watch band also will break but you can get a cloth/leather replacement band and it will last for alot longer. The watch is waterproof as far being able to be able to go in the shower. I wouldn't recommend going swimming with it. Overall it is a great watch, but would recommend buying a new watch band for it. I would give it 5 stars if the body was made out of metal.
i have worn casio watches for about 30 years August 29, 2005 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
had identical watch for years so very familiar with watch. i knew what i wanted as my old one is misplaced but in bad shape from my years of abuse. i love that my "little black book" is on my wrist. i even keep phone #'s for pizza hut, electric company ect. saves a lot of time and grief. has a timer that will go off only once or continually starts another cycle over and over untul shut off. i have it set to go off every year on my anniversary. i do not have to reset it, it goes off every year at the same time. this feature alone can be a life saver to forgetfull guys and more than the cost of the watch in expensive resturants if you forgot your anniverary!!! only watch i will and have worn for 30 years. i ordered this late aug 25, they shipped it on the 26th from new york, i had it in florida on the 27th!!! talk about blazing shipping!!! will definitely deal with again!!!
Simple, functional, elegant. October 11, 2005 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
Casio kept true to form on this one. Everything works as we expect it to, and unlike my first databank watch, it has a light.
The word "light" is rubbing out after having this thing a few years, and I've had to replace the resin band. Aside from that, I get great battery life by turning the little beep feature off, and sparingly using the alarm, and light.
However, like all Casio digital watches, this one always seems to get ahead 30 seconds. So, you will want to reset the time every month or so. I reset mine 30 seconds behind because I think it levels off at some point.
Data does not get lost when battery is changed. The calander display is nice because you know at a glance something is coming up this week, or the next.
A pc-link, enhanced display, and better band would make this a definate 5 star product. A color oled display would rock.
Let the world have their slips of paper, notebooks, and fancy schmancy PDA's. This has everything I actually need on it.
